Been to this hotel before and would return as a stop off for our many trips to Cornwall. Hotel has been modernised but still seems understaffed to us.
On entry staff were very helpful but the rooms, although modern were very cold. The air on on the ground floor room had to be reset, the first floor room had no air on as it had not been fully installed yet, so we had an electric fire that did warm the room up but felt it would have been ready when we arrived. Also missing a remote control for TV, which makes me question final checks.
Everything else was good, including food and staff. Although our gammon was a little overcooked for our taste. Did not stay for breaky this time but from memory it was good value. Like I say, we would return.

We got a room Without aircon and no window so terrible air inside the room. There was no toiletbrush, and the breakfast and dinner was terrible. However good size room and bed. However do not eat at this place.

A tidy place but nothing more than a posh motel. Freezing cold room with no heating ( air con unit didn’t have enough power centrally to make it work, I was told), stained toilet bowl and stained bedding on top. Breakfast cold and coffee machine didn’t work.

Just had a full refurb so the rooms and interior are really nice. Unfortunately even though brand new, the AC/heater in the room didn’t work so I had to have a blower and an electric radiator. USB sockets by the bed didn’t work/were loose, and the towel radiator didn’t work either (even though brand new). Also the shower gel was completely empty which was frustrating to find when you’re already in!
Didn’t ruin my stay at all though and just minor things, but considering it’s all brand new it’s a shame the builders didn’t get it right.
Will definitely be stayed again and was fantastic value for money. Staff are always super friendly and otherwise room and bed/bathroom really nice.

The hotel is fine.
Just DONT get a room in the ground floor.
The person in the room above mine must have walked 10 miles around their room and the floor bords cracked all the time. I could hear every foot step they made. This would have been fine if it was not after midnight. Next the walls are paper thin and you can lesson to next doors conversion and TV.
Not the best place if you want a good nights sleep.
