Super 8 by Wyndham Smithfield/Selma

I booked the hotel for me and my daughter she likes to swim for the most part it was a good stay she enjoyed it that was the whole point of it for me thanks.

The best price in the area for a nice hotel. The rooms were nice & clean. The service was great. I wished they had more breakfast options such as fruit & bagels.

Whenever I need to travel to the Smithfield/Selma area, I always choose this property. It’s budget friendly, the employees are always pleasant, and the rooms & property are always clean.

Disappointed because I brought my mother here to shop at the outlet after being sick. There was no phone in room, in her room microwave was broken, maid went in mother room before check out, dog was barking by my room. Had to walk to the front desk if anything was needed due to no phone

We used to stay here and then when we didn't need a " pet friendly " place started to stay at Sleep Inn next door. Because there's a $25 difference in price we thought we'd try Super8 again. We'll never do that again. The towels were gray and stained and minimal ! Really truly surprisingly awful! The sheets have had their day. The refrigerator could keep you up all night. Breakfast was a disaster. The coffee machine " hasn't been working for a few days ". They had no milk, syrup,fruit, yogurt or fruit. Only the waffle and pancake maker worked ( but again no syrup) And worse , the floor was positively sticky. What a mess. For the $25 it all made you feel grubby. Never again.

Stay over was good, clean room, quiet, front desk staff was good. While I did not want to use the pool, it was closed, in my 5 stays there, think pool was open once. Property is close to I 95, parking lot well lit.

Let me start by saying I am the nicest person you will ever meet, and confrontation is not on my day to day list of things to run into! This was hands down THE worst hotel experience I have had in all my years of traveling. Before we got to the hotel we were notified our reservation had been cancelled. We were told that we could pay at the property. They charged a card that was denied, and canceled our reservation 2 minutes after eventhough we were given a 2 hour window to update the payment. I called the hotel, and gave them another card to reserve the room. The charge was made. Upon arrival we were told there was no charge, and we would have to pay another $144 and that the first charge was just a temporary hold. (This has never happened in any other hotel I’ve stayed in.) so we said ok! And paid for the room AGAIN. Once we got to the room it was absolutely disgusting. The beds were messed up, trash in the floor, urine in the toilet, towels all over the floor and it reaked of urine. We took pictures and showed the lady at front desk and she said “there’s nothing I can do about that.” I was in the process of trying to find another place to stay, and taking pictures of the room to show her myself. When I went to the front desk she began yelling at me, accused us of things that were never done. And blamed us for messing the room up and said that we were not getting a refund. Not only that, but she kicked us off the property eventhough we did absolutely nothing wrong except state our concern for the double charge, and the filthy room! This happened to many others while we were there as well. They were canceling rooms, and double charging everyone that walked through the door! Please please stay away from this hotel and do not give Them your money!!!!! Nobody deserves what we went through, or the other families! There is a beautiful hotel down the road and many others in the area that will not steal your money, and will give you a clean room to stay in!

The lady at the front desk was nice but it took 10 minutes for her to show up and check us in. Apparently she was on her own there. The place is pretty much a dump. The rugs in the hallway are dirty. There was hair in the bathtub. Candy wrapper and other garbage on the floor. Stains on the floor. Paint peeling on the wall. Spend a few extra bucks and stay at the Sleep Inn behind the Super 8. We would have stayed there but it was full.

We have stayed that this Super 8 for years. Never again. We had 3 rooms, they all smelled. Never stay at a motel just for the breakfast, but if they have it, you would expect it to be decent. It was a disappoin**ent. Even the coffee was terrible.
