很好，是個老牌五星酒店，如果選面向海景的房間就更好了，酒店離古城區很近，走路五分鐘，門口有停車場，非常方便。

Prachtig hotel, beste lokatie, heerlijk restaurant met de beste view. Helaas ook wat minpunten. Badkamer is mooi, luxueus zelfs maar erg klein. In de douche kan je je amper bewegen, gewoonweg te krap. Kamers met een bad en douche, is de douche mogelijkheid ook een uitdaging. Slippy. Helaas heeft het hotel de airco in de maand m3 nog niet aanstaan.. Volgens zeggen in onderhoud maar vele hotels houden de knop van de airco in de maand mei gewoon uit ondanks de warme temperaturen. Bizar gewoon. Van een 5-sterren hotel mag je verwachten dat je koel en zonder straat- en uitgaansherrie kan slapen. Helaas was dat niet mogelijk tenzij alle ramen dichtgehouden worden, maar bereid je voor op een zwetende nacht. Bedden zijn op zijn Italiaans. Vrij hard. Helaas ook een zeil op het matras wat de warme nachten nog erger maakt. Het slaapt erg oncomfortabel en is niet meer van deze tijd. Kortom: kom niet in de maand Mei.

We spent 10 days in Sicily and decided to book 4 days at The Grand Hotel Ortigia over Christmas. It was a great decision. Ortigia takes Christmas seriously with great street and shop decorations and most of the restaurants are still open throughout the holiday. In the hotel we had a room with a sea view, and if you can afford the upgrade it’s really worth it, watching the activity in the harbour and on the sea front is fascinating. The Grand offered a seriously good Christmas lunch served by a great team of staff in the rooftop restaurant - excellent fish courses, with wines, with an unhurried service. Just brilliant. If a Christmas trip to Sicily is in your plans I can’t recommend The Grand highly enough.

The Grand Hotel Ortigia is an elegant and yes, grand hotel on the harbor in Ortigia. After some initial confusion with the front desk about the type of room we'd reserved, my spouse and I settled in to a deluxe room that was spacious and well designed with hooks for jackets, ample space for suitcases, and lots of room to put things. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Fortunato. The housekeepers deserve special mention for twice daily trips into the room to keep it immaculate. Breakfast was a feast of delights on the top floor overlooking the harbor. The location is excellent for exploring both Ortigia and crossing the bridge into Siracusa. The Grand Hotel has spoiled us for future stays in hotels!

We have been in a beautiful hotel with an excelent location. The terrace where the breakfast was served has a fantastic view over the sea. The rooms have stairs to the bed and bathroom. The staff is gentle and nice with very good restaurants recommendations.

Front of house staff were outstanding especially Emmanuel and fortunato excellent. Breakfast very good. Staff in the restaurant were great. Drinks in the top floor bar were great with views. Room was great. Internet only fair. Room temperature difficult to control.

This is a very nice hotel in a great location in Ortigia. The service was excellent and the breakfast was very good. However, it is certainly not 5-star. We had a deluxe double room and it was quite small for a "deluxe double". We did get to see into a standard room and that was extremely small with not much room around the bed. Also, the noise levels are very high. The street sweeper came round at around 5am every morning which woke us up every night. The interior noise levels are also very high, both from the corridor and adjoining rooms. There is also a set of service stairs at the back of the hotel which double as emergency stairs - these have wooden treads and a certain lady member of staff had very solid shoes and woke us up every morning not long after getting back to sleep after the street sweeper had woken us. We recommend getting a room that is not on the street and not near the service stairs.
