Service and staff are top notch and the breakfast is decent. However room was abit dusty. Pool is very nice and overall would love to come back

2nd visit in this hotel and it was somewhat different. Front desk people wasn't good at handling matters and the junior manager named Kelvin was extremely insolent to me except for senior duty manager saiful who was doing a great job. He is a very humble , helpful and approachable young man.
My wife and I was bitten by some bugs we changed rooms at 12am plus and was changed to a new room immediately. Upon reaching the room the ladge was broken

I've booked this hotel twice. First stay was pretty good to return. The second stay last week wasn't worth it.
A few tips for others that plan to stay at this hotel for a pleasant experience:
1. Avoid speaking with the duty manager Kelvin (especially for check-ins). Liase with any other staff member who are far more curteous.
2. Test the shower area to see if water drains or starts ponding. A possible sign is if you see dried up hairs on the floor at the start. If it ponds, then ask the repair crew to remove the clump of hair in the floor trap. Response was quick.
3. The bathroom door is a sliding door with no lock. It may keep rolling back slightly and leave a door gap.
4. Be careful with picking plates or mugs at the breakfast buffet. There may be lipstick stains or dried up residue that is thoroughly washed. The complementary breakfast spread is decent.

Had a pleasant time at this hotel! The room was small but comfortable. Highlight of the hotel was the rooftop pool with amazing views of Singapore's skyscrapers. Jacuzzi was great also. A great hotel to stay if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the town area.

I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. The place and location is superb. Love the roof top where's the swimming pool, jacuzzi & gym is, relaxing and quiet. About 10 mins walk to Chinatown where you can get wallet friendly dinner or if you're feeling extravagant Clarke Quay is the place to go. Upon entering the room smell really nice and, it was spacious. I'll definitely come here again!

My favourite thing about the hotel here is that it is in a perfect location: so near to everything that you might want to visit in KL.
Would 100% recommend it for anyone who wants a great base to move around the city. Just beware the rush hour traffic (not the hotel's fault, of course.)
All in all, would stay here again!

I researched several hotels in advance and I am very happy that I chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Express! The location was perfect for me as it was within walking distance of the metro station(Clarke Quay or Fort Canning) and all the local sightseeing places (Clarke Quay, Asian Civilisations Museum, Victoria Place, Raffles hotel, Chinatown and even the marina). The facilities in the hotel were all to an excellent western standard and the service from all of the staff was perfect, especially that of the receptionist who greeted me upon my arrival! I am happy to recommend this hotel and would stay here again myself.
