The staff were attentive, approachable, and consistently willing to assist us in organizing our trips around Siem Reap, making the overall experience hassle-free and enjoyable. A special shoutout to the Swiss owners who were genuinely amiable and made us feel warmly welcomed. As for the accommodations, the rooms in Sala Lodges were a delightful surprise. Each room bore discrete charm with its tasteful decoration, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary elements. The authentic Khmer old houses are full of charm, yet modern and well preserved. The hotel’s kitchen offered a menu that might seem simple at a glance but was satisfyingly delightful upon tasting. Every dish we tried was prepared well, with fresh ingredients and flavors that are comforting yet exciting to the palate. The breakfast, in particular, deserves an extra note of praise for being consistently good, providing a delightful start to our days of exploration. Adding to the hotel’s allure was the inviting swimming pool, serving as a refreshing sanctuary after a day of touring the magical temples and vibrant markets of Siem Reap. During the wet season, the a**osphere around Sala Lodges was even more calming and soothing, with the soft sound of rain providing a comforting backdrop to our stay. To sum it up, our experience at Sala Lodges was nothing short of magical. From the excellent service to the beautifully appointed rooms and delightful meals, every aspect of the hotel contributed to a stay that was serene, comfortable, and absolutely enjoyable. Angkor Wat has to be on any bucket list and Sala Lodges is the place to stay when you go. The “rooms” are genuine local wooden built houses set in lovely grounds - pool , spa etc. The food is a mix of western and local Kyhmer - all delicious especially the breakfast bread and pastry selection. The lodges have aircon , hot and cold running water , mosquito nets - and lovely little touches such as locally made slippers and scarves. What makes this whole wonderful place though is the staff - all locals superbly marshalled by Arne and Simone Lugeon the owners. They are efficient , cheerful and always there . The hotel can also plan all of your trips - my tip is to not limit yourself to the temples of Angkor Wat. Take the sunset cruise on the Tonle Sap, go into the countryside and see the Ladies Temple and the amazing land mine museum. And of course if you need restaurant recommendations- and a tuktuk to get there , of course that is arranged too. I can’t praise the hotel highly enough - it isn’t 5 star international - it is better than that. A personal experience that caters to all your needs whilst also being aware of the environment- little or no plastic , recycle where possible. I have stayed in a lot of hotels around Asia and I really recommend you to Sala Lodges.

The Sala Lodges is the perfect place to stay when you visit Siem Reap. The lodges are unique and beautiful, the service is immaculate and friendly and the facilities are everything you need. All of the staff were so helpful and always available. The restaurant has a good variety of local and international options. Our room was incredible. It was huge, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had the most impressive shower. I could not fault any moment of our stay at the Sala Lodges.

Sala lodge is a wonderful place! The houses are ancient real authentic cambodian houses, nicely decorated and arranged in a way that you can feel in your own little paradise. The service is top notch, we did not lack anything. On top, it's very close to the temples and the owners helped us organise super cool visits with local guides. It's really a comfortable and authentic way to enjoy Siem Reap and it's wonders. Thanks you!

If you’re looking for a Luxury ,unique and classy boutique hotel, Sala lodge is your place! Amazon bedrooms, classy and stylish, swimming pool surrounded by a garden that is just an amazing small forest. Restaurant is great and staff extremely polite! One of the best place we have been and not only in Asia. The a**osphere is just great .. a warning this place offers not just a good stay but is an experience!

We stayed at Sala Lodges for 4 nights. This place is really lovely. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Service, from the lobby to the restaurant to the room cleaners was amongst the best we had ever experienced anywhere. The rooms are unique in that they are converted traditional Khmer huts. Although there is a feeling of authenticity to them which is very attractive, these huts are not rustic. The interiors are beautifully adorned with modern a/c, bathrooms, showers and all amenities. The furniture is traditional Cambodian but very high end and comfortable. The accommodation really was superb. The food was fresh and delicious with a variety of traditional dishes and some western options. Having tried most items on the menu, I would recommend the traditional items as they really were delicious. The cocktails were excellent and were made from juices that we watched them squeeze from fresh fruit. Although everything was top notch at this hotel, by far the highlight was the service. Everyone was just incredibly helpful and friendly at all times. They really went out of their way to make our stay and our visit around Siem Reap wonderful. The hotel is also within about a 5 to 10 minute drive from the city centre which was perfect. Going to all of the markets took a short tuk tuk ride but we were just far enough away that the hotel grounds were quiet and peaceful. We highly recommend this place.

Beautiful sanctuary with every detail considered from a cool drink delivered pool side to your bed being turned down every night. The staff and owners are wonderful, every bungalow is unique with plenty of room and tastefully decorated complete with air con, mosquito net and a big balcony. Highlights were a delicious breakfast each morning, the saltwater pool and the Khmer cooking class Can’t really fault Sala Lodges but would recommend avoiding coming at the height of the dry season when it is incredibly hot all day, every day.

If heaven was on earth, it would be there! Nothing fancy or bling bling, just pure natural and authentic Cambodian luxury style. Very friendly staff, owner from one of the top hospitality school in Switzerland, really close to the animated area of Pub Street and Angkor Wat. Perfect food, adapted to occidental taste with Cambodian roots. Just go there to really disconnect and get the best experience you can imagine!
