I had a very pleasant stay at Garden Hotel Shizuoka. The location is excellent, with easy access to Shizuoka Station, shopping areas, and plenty of nearby restaurants, which made getting around very convenient. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing space after a day of sightseeing. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to rest. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out were smooth but one thing that surprised and slightly confused me at first was that the front desk is located on the highest floor rather than the main floor, which is quite uncommon, but it was easy to find once I realized

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! Great quality hotel, especially for the price. Very professional and friendly service, the room is very high quality and nice. I especially like the onsen, which was complete with 2 different hot baths (one with fresh outdoor air even), a cold plunge, a rain shower, and a sauna! Just incredible for recovering after a long day of walking around. I actually wish I had gone to the onsen sooner, and would have used it likely 2x a day if I had known how good it was. The breakfast was also incredible. Just a huge variety of great food options, most of which were Japanese which I quite enjoyed. They even had wasabi (fresh I think), soba noodles, and lots of seafood options. This is one of the top 5 best hotels I have ever stayed at! Keep up the great work. I also loved Shizuoka!! This hotel has several restaurants very close by and is only 1-2 blocks away from the main store and restaurant area of that part of Shizuoka City.

The hotel is very clean, the staff are very nice, and they helped me with my luggage before and after checkout despite my only staying there for 1 night. The room is private but has no door lock, and you can't be loud because the roofs are connected to other rooms. The room is very clean and has an in-room locker for clothes and your worthy items. The location is close to Shizuoka JR Station.It is only a 4-minute walk, and it is easy to find. The bathroom is also clean, as in the photo (I took it when there were no people). The price is not expensive; it's worth staying. will definitely be there again 👍😊

The area outside hotel looks dated but there's a charm to it. Hotel staff was very friendly and able to communicate with us well in Chinese. Room was pretty small, amenities were free-flow to be taken at the lobby.

Stayed in the residential room. Spacious hotel with nice location, near the Shizuoka station. Nice hotel staff. Great selection of tasty breakfast. Surrounded by many restaurants and shops. Walkable distance to many tourist attractions. Will definitely come back again.

There are only self check in if you come in after 10pm. Instructions were not correct and self check in machine didn't work. There were no phone in the hotel so I have to spend my long distance dial and stood there 30 mins to figure out the check in. Filed a complaint later on and hotel refused to refund. But trip.com was nice enough to send back a reasonable amount of money to compensate my long distance call. Only if you speak Japanese and have a local phone and check in at day time, otherwise not recommended.

Excellent location within walking distance to major tourist locations and shopping and dining districts as well as public transports. Carpark is available across the road at 1100 Yen for 24 hours. I chose room with breakfast for 2 and it is well value for money. The spa, though small, but is well kept and much undertilized. In fact, I am the only one using the spa. Environment, services and facilities are all up to good standards. Guests can also have free access to the coffee and soft drinks machine around the clock.

Excellent location right next to the Shizuoka JR station. Really appreciate they will still drop you towels and water while on DND mode policy. Laundromat and ice machine all equipped. But breakfast is not good only serving different types of bread even it’s from famous bakery

It seemed to be the day of a fireworks display and was very popular that day. Check-in was done in one part of the coffee shop. We apologize when it is crowded as the general public also enjoys tea. The rooms have air conditioning, but the beds do not, so it feels very hot and difficult to stay there. There are no towels or toothbrushes. You need to bring your own. Earplugs were available at the washbasin. There is only one shower and one toilet, so you have to be patient when others are using them. I woke up in the middle of the night when someone came home and took a shower because of the noise. You have to cross a big road from the station, so it is better to go out with plenty of time to spare.

Free unlimited alcohol at bar after 6 pm is totally beyond expectation. Room is quite big, with large size bathtub and separated toilet. Very quiet from my experience. The room I stayed does not have a window, not sure if it’s the common case. But I’m ok with that. The location should be considered as the major concern. It’s right beside the interchange of highway, so can be ideal for self-driving trips. However, for travelers by public transportation, you’ll have to use the local bus service, it can take quite a while to figure out how.(For anyone who may read this comment: if you depart from Shizuoka JR station, look for bus No.71 or No.27, and get off at Shizuoka IC stop , which is the closest stop from hotel) Generally I do enjoy the stay, and the nearby region has a lot of restaurants as well as convenient stores, will consider to come back if drive by next time.
