We kwamen laat in de avond aan en gelukkig bood het hotel gratis snacks voor het avondeten aan – een fijn gebaar dat na een lange reis echt een verschil maakte. Het hotel heeft een afhaalpunt voor pakketjes, wat handig is voor gasten die een pakketje verwachten. Er is ook een zelfbedieningswasserette en tot onze grote vreugde liepen er een paar schattige katten rond – een leuke bonus voor dierenliefhebbers! Onze kamer was uitgerust met AI-bediening voor de verlichting en gordijnen, wat het verblijf extra comfortabel maakte. Een kleine suggestie: de föhn zit vast aan de muur, wat het gebruik ervan wat onhandig maakte. Als hij verplaatsbaar was, zou dat nog beter zijn. Al met al een geweldige ervaring, vooral voor wie houdt van een gezellige, huisdiervriendelijke omgeving!

Not a major problem but there's no drop off/pick up point for cars. Need to watch for traffic when crossing to get to the didi. But I realize it's quite common in China for mid range hotels. 2. Room soundproofing was ok, mostly quiet when we stayed. Day time can hear the car horns, but night time is nice and quiet, great for sleep

Marriott stelt me nooit teleur. De luxe en historie van zo'n gevestigde keten waren duidelijk aanwezig, en de algehele ervaring was opnieuw verrassend goed. Hoewel het hotel al jaren open is, voelt het nog steeds gloednieuw aan, zonder spoor van slijtage. De verfijnde details en de historische sfeer gaan hand in hand, en de subtiele, chique uitstraling geeft je direct een ontspannen gevoel, alsof je hier altijd al wilde verblijven. De inrichting van het hotel is prachtig en je waant je in een tijdloze galerie, wat de sfeer compleet maakt. Daarnaast is het personeel uitzonderlijk gastvrij en zorgt het voor een comfortabel gevoel. De service is attent en zorgvuldig gedurende je hele verblijf, wat de ervaring top maakt. Het enige kleine minpuntje was dat de schoonmaak op sommige plekken iets beter kon; een paar hoekjes waren niet helemaal brandschoon. Dit was een kleine smet op een verder perfecte ervaring. Desondanks is de algehele kwaliteit hoog en wegen de kleine imperfecties niet op tegen het geheel. Het is een juweeltje waar je keer op keer terug wilt komen, en ik hoop dat de details in de toekomst nog verder worden verbeterd.

We were so impressed of almost everything about this stay. I will recommend to my friends, and the my relatives to come and pay a visit. This package of a new renovated room plus Club Lounge access both are amazing.  Food is great. Service is amazing. The view is epic.  The room is built and designed well.  Gym room is big.  Especially our highlight is the customer service, my wife and I wanna point out the staff that serving us (入住服務大使) Mandy is very kind and helpful to us. Delight our stay. Also other staffs that served/helped us are very polite and kind. (Front desk: Perry etc.)  We couldn’t ask for more. Coz this is more than our expectation. I will recommend you to choose this.

I was unexpectedly stranded at Shenzhen North (Shenzhenbei) during the busy holiday season and urgently needed a place to stay. After comparing several listings on Trip.com, this hostel stood out based on its reviews, and it fully lived up to my expectations. The photos are accurate and reflect the property exactly as it is. The host prepared the bed sheets and pillowcases right in front of me, which immediately reassured me about the cleanliness. Everything was spotless and well maintained. Cleanliness is one of my top priorities when choosing accommodation because I value my health, and I felt completely comfortable staying here. I saw no pests or anything unhygienic, so if you’re concerned about that, you can rest easy. The host speaks basic English and was very welcoming. Since I had just traveled from Hong Kong Airport to Shenzhen North, he even kindly offered to show me around the area. There are plenty of food options nearby, I enjoyed Lanzhou noodles and stinky tofu just steps from the building. For clarification, the hostel is located inside an apartment building and operates in a dorm-style setup. Shoes are removed at the entrance, and guest slippers are provided. There is a comfortable common area with a sofa and dining table, free drinking water, and complimentary toiletries including a toothbrush and disposable towel, which was especially helpful since I had forgotten to pack one. The bathroom is modern and equipped with a Western-style sit-down toilet. Each bed has its own privacy curtain and personal light, which I appreciated. There are also power outlets conveniently located at each bed. Wi-Fi worked smoothly without any issues, and free laundry is available, which is a great bonus for travelers. There are designated quiet hours, so you can sleep comfortably. During my stay, it was peaceful and no one snored. The host even asked whether I snore, which shows he is considerate of all guests. The other guests were polite and respectful. I was the only foreigner staying there, and the rest were Chinese travelers who were likely in the same situation, unable to secure train tickets that night. The property is non-smoking, which I also appreciated. The only minor downside is for taller guests. I am 183 cm (6 ft), and I had to curl up slightly since the bed length appears to be around 180 cm. It was manageable, but something to keep in mind if you’re tall. The location is very convenient. It’s next to the train station, and you can easily take the subway if you have luggage. It only cost me 2 RMB to ride, so there’s really no need to take a taxi. In the morning, I bought pork steamed buns and soy milk from a nearby vendor, he was friendly, and the food was great. For $4, this was outstanding value. If you’re looking for a clean, affordable, and convenient place to stay near Shenzhen North, this is an excellent option. geografische locatie Het ligt dicht bij Haiya Colourful City en op slechts een paar minuten lopen (ik kwam erachter nadat ik een taxi had genomen) dat er beneden het hotel KFC, Naixue, Starbucks en 711 zijn, wat erg handig is. Het is niet ver van Happy Harbor. De deluxe kamer waar we de eerste nacht in verbleven, kon het reuzenrad zien. Hoewel het niet erg dicht bij het centrum ligt, is het over het algemeen best handig. algehele omgeving Er is niets aan te merken voor deze prijs. De algehele uitrusting is erg nieuw en de kamer is erg schoon. Met kinderen hou ik van een hotel met een nieuwe omgeving en goede hygiëne. De deluxe kamer is vrij groot, het elektrische toilet is ook erg goed en de kleine koelkast is ook heel schattig. Stembediening is erg handig. De volgende dag was ik oorspronkelijk van plan het prijsverschil te betalen om te upgraden naar een ouder-kindkamer, maar de receptie was erg aardig. Nadat ze de situatie hadden begrepen, hebben ze me direct een upgrade gegeven en me een rondleiding door beide kamers gegeven. De hele plaats is erg schoon en er zijn kinderspullen en nachthemden, wat erg leuk is. maaltijden Hoewel ik persoonlijk niet het gevoel heb dat de verscheidenheid aan ontbijt bijzonder rijk is, heeft het alles wat inbegrepen zou moeten zijn. Het verandert ook in twee dagen, wat niet wil zeggen dat het statisch is. Ik raad vooral de rauwe pap en rijstbroodjes aan, die echt goed zijn. Hotels van dit niveau vragen meestal extra voor het ontbijt, maar Ctrip- en hotelpakketten zijn inclusief ontbijt, dus er is niets aan te merken. Er zijn ook veel keuzes voor drankjes. Dienen Er valt eigenlijk niet veel te zeggen. Het is geweldig. Ze zijn erg geduldig en vriendelijk. Als de kinderen huilen, troost iedereen ze. Ze zijn ook erg zorgzaam en attent. Oorspronkelijk wilde ik deze keer nog twee dagen blijven, maar mijn kind bleef erop aandringen om naar de grote kamer in de Duck te gaan, dus ik moest van hotel wisselen. Maar als ik de volgende keer naar Bao'an District kom, zal het nog steeds gebeuren wees mijn eerste keuze. Het zou fijn zijn als er meer ouder-kindkamers zouden zijn.

We hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf hier. De kamers waren schoon en het personeel was erg behulpzaam. Ik kan hun diner van harte aanbevelen, het was een zeer redelijke prijs voor de bediening en het eten was fantastisch. De fotograaf was ook erg geduldig met ons en heeft prachtige foto's van ons gemaakt. Het zwembad en de bar zijn geschikt voor zowel volwassenen als kinderen, een echte aanrader! Ik zou hier zeker weer verblijven. Bedankt aan het personeel dat ons snel te woord stond, erg vriendelijk.

His attention to detail was extraordinary — he had noted my preferences before I could voice them, and the check-in process was so seamless it barely registered as a process at all. Sicily and Marsh were equally outstanding, always present at just the right moments with a smile, a helpful suggestion, or a thoughtful gesture. Together, the three of them set a tone of effortless elegance that carried through every hour of my stay. In a city as fast-paced and forward-looking as Shenzhen, there is something deeply reassuring about a reception team that makes you feel as though time has slowed down just for you. The Club Skyline View Room If the lobby whispered luxury, the Club Skyline View Room declared it in full voice. Perched high above the glittering sprawl of Shenzhen, the room offered a panorama that genuinely stopped me in my tracks. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed the city's dazzling skyline — a forest of illuminated towers stretching toward the horizon, the lights of Futian and beyond shimmering like an earthbound constellation. I found myself drawn to the window repeatedly, at golden hour, at twilight, and again in the deep hours of the night, each time discovering a different mood and a different kind of beauty. The room itself was a masterclass in refined design. The palette was calm and sophisticated, with rich textures and thoughtful layering that felt contemporary yet timeless in the way the Mandarin Oriental has always done best. The bed was, simply put, superb — the kind of bed that makes you reconsider every mattress you have ever slept on and find them all wanting. Linens were crisp and impossibly soft. The bathroom was a sanctuary of marble and glass, generously appointed with the brand's signature amenities, and the soaking tub positioned near the window offered what might be one of the finest bathing experiences in southern China. Every detail, from the lighting controls to the turndown service to the quiet hum of climate perfection, spoke of a property that understands the difference between filling a room with expensive things and creating a genuine sense of place and comfort. The Mandarin Club Accessing the Mandarin Club elevated an already exceptional stay into something truly rarefied. The lounge itself is a beautifully curated space — serene, sophisticated, and blessed with those same sweeping skyline views that make this property so special. But what transforms the Club from a lovely room with good canapés into a genuinely memorable experience is its people. Chelsea Zhou is a revelation and deserves a special mention. Her hospitality instincts are pitch-perfect; she anticipated needs I hadn't yet articulated, and managed to be attentive without ever being intrusive — a balance that even the finest hotels in the world struggle to achieve. Priscilla Pang was equally impressive, radiating a genuine kindness and professionalism that made every interaction a pleasure. Whether it was the afternoon tea service, or the evening menu and cocktails, Chelsea and Priscilla ensured that every moment in the Club felt personal, polished, and quietly luxurious. I returned to the lounge far more often than I had planned, not just for the excellent food and drink,

The location is great. When you go out, you will easily be greeted with a lot of food and restaurant options. Train is also accessible. The front door is located infront of the street with cars so when you use didi, you can directly be dropped off into the front door. When we first came, we were confused cause the elevator can’t go up to 14th floor. Apparently, there are 3 elevators in the first floor but only 2 on the left can be used to go up to 14th floor. The right elevator wont open at the 14th floor because it is where the reception of the hotel is placed. When we went, we were asked if we are okay with one computer only. As someone who wasn’t planning to use the PC, I said it’s okay. However, when we went to the room, having 1 computer also meant we got the smaller room cut. I was so frustrated cause I read all reviews of a lot of hotels and really searched for a big cut room because we have big luggages and we were there for Christmas. I pipped on a room that was vacant when we checked in and it was a lot bigger than our room (same room type, just no pole and have 2 PCs) Mostly because our room also has this huge building pole that consumed a lot of space also. The reception was nice and friendly though. She helped us carry our bags. However, the room itself was clean but you can smell the particles/dust of smoke that the previous user left. It isn’t direct smoke smell but as someone who is very allergic to smoke, our nose can pick up the particles itself like the dust that came from the cigar specially in the computer chair. So it didn’t smell like cigar but the particles left made us allergic and sneezing for the entire stay. I told the reception the next day and they cleaned and used a device to remove smoke in the room. I really appreciated this since it lessen out sneezing throughout the night. However, the smoke smell was evident when you go out of the room. Most probably because other guests are smoking outside or at the reception itself. Kind of sad because it says in the listing that this property was a non-smoking room. Which if they said that someone is able to smoke, I wouldn’t even consider the property in the first place. Contrary to other reviews, I saw a robot in the basement that was able to deliver food by itself. I’m not sure if it can go up to the hotel because we didn’t try but the robot was functioning and was able to deliver food in other floors. Overall, the stay was great. Amenities were there such as shampoo, soap, toothbrush, slippers, bathrobe and others. Just frustrated because we got a smaller room cut (the image looks big because of mirrors) and smells like cigar even though I also noted in my booking that I have a very bad allergy towards cigarette. Oh, and the other reviews were right, if you are sensitive to noise, you need to double think before booking because the cars and the street noise can really be heard in the room. For someone who is not sensitive to noise that much, it wasn’t a concern for me. The pillows and bed was great and comfortable :) There’s also a refrigerator in the room.

We are a group of 7 friends. I made a reservation for all of us together and paid around 8€, which I thought was a very good price. The day we arrived, the owner told us the price was per person and not for the whole booking, which was odd as the reservation already had our 7 names on it, but also reasonable considering the very low price. After our stay I can honestly say that the original price of 8€ for 7 is the maximum I would have paid for this place. The rooms themselves are not too bad and in line with the Chinese standard (quite right, very hard and slim futon mattresses), but also clean sheets and good privacy with curtains. The real issue with this place are the bathrooms. First of all there are only two of them for more than 20 people. Secondly, they are nothing short of disgusting. One of them is a room with a squatting toilet, a sink and a shower that smells like piss worse than a public toilet. The second one has a Western toilet with a broken toilet seat and a shower without a shower head (basically like a garden hose). I normally don't complain about these things as I'm used to traveling on a budget. But as I said, these are things I would have totally accepted if the price I paid was indeed the original one I made a reservation for. Especially because for that price (as a group of 7) you can find cheaper and nicer options in the same area. I would not recommend this place unless you really can't find anything cheaper or better, or if you want to be very close to the civic center. Definitely not a good place to stay more than 1 night.
