Shelly Beach Holiday Park

Required late check in... 1st, Apon arrival had not received safe code to access key. Nobody answered afterhours number or returned call. 2nd, Lump in main bed pillow that turned out to be a pair of girls underpants with a used sanitary pad attached to it !!... 100% TRUE

Upon arrival the office attendant was friendly and welcoming. The cabin was spacious, well equipped and very homely. The holiday park itself was amazing. Such a well set out holiday park with clean surroundings and situated in a great location. A very short walk to Shelly Beach and short drives to surrounding suburbs. Supermarkets, shopping malls and any other amenity required are only a short distance away. A beautiful, well managed, friendly and homely holiday park. I highly recommend Shelly Beach Holiday Park to everyone 👍👍

We returned to this park for our 8th Christmas family get together. Parts of our family live close by and we congregate here for Christmas Day. The park has great facilities. However, this year turned out to be very disappointing experience. We booked a specific cabin 9 months in advance, went back 2 days before our visit, to take photos for others travelling to organise gazebo's and tables. At this point there was no one in our cabin. We checked in 2 days later and was told there was a maintenance issue with our cabin and they would have to move us, like it or lump it. Although disappointed we took it on the chin. We went to our cabin, walked around the corner and saw that our original cabin had people in it. Confused, we went back to reception for an explanation, the receptionist could not explain why people were in our original cabin and offered a 25% refund for the inconvenience. This was later overruled by the manager. We asked to speak to the owner, they were not authorised to give out his phone number and that he would call us. We received a text to send an email, not from the owner's number. We have sent multiple emails with no communication. There were no managers available on the 24,25,26 and 27th of December. The cabin itself was dated, marks covered the walls, the bathroom was tiny and the bed was hard as a rock. We had to re-wash all of the kitchenware as it was dirty and greasy. We left a day early, as we couldn't sleep on a bed of rock for another night. Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill, my advice is give it a miss. There are plenty of other options in the area. P.S. We paid $1400 ($350 per night) for this experience.

We stayed here for one night and had a blast of a time. We enjoyed our stay very much. We stayed in a beach front cabin right across the road from Shelly beach, watching sunrise and sunset was the ultimate. The park included a waterpark which both us adults and the children absolutaly loved and enjoyed very much, the waterpark was the main highlight of our stay here at the park. We would gladly book again just for the waterpark. Cabin was nice and neat with bunks for the kids and a queen bed in the room. Ceiling fans aircon fridge with all necessary things to cook and enjoy yourself. Just bring extra towels and your set. Cheap fun short stay for us. Thanks.

We visited as multiple families in September for a weekend. The cabin that we stayed in was unloved and poor quality. For example, there were multiple power sockets that didn't work, including in the kitchen. So we had to boil the kettle in the bedroom. But even in there only one bedroom socket worked, so one of the lamps also didn't work. The toilet roll holder was broken and kept falling off the wall, which was infuriating! There was a mouldy smell to the whole cabin that was extremely uncomfortable. It smelled like the cabin had been closed for weeks. The bunk beds upstairs were thin mattresses on wooden planks. Not even a proper bed base. Please spend some money on this cabin - it wouldn't even require that much but would greatly improve the comfort of your guests. The park itself was in ok condition, having a food truck onsite is genius! The customer service of the food truck staff was wonderful, and the food was delicious. We loved the park slide and water park, even the adults had a few turns. The park is in fantastic proximity to the beach and golf course. Overall a great stay and we would return but only to a different cabin. Thank you!

Beachwalk Cabin 7 - lounge is seriously uncomfortable and only can fit 3 people, for a cabin that sleeps 6 people Kitchen sink plug is too small, tap not secured properly and drawers hard to close. Shower head falls down whilst showering, towel rail hanging off wall on one side and toilet roll holder not secured Beds are ok, bit too firm and no quilt cover on bunk beds Wifi provided - no access to free wifi and cabin itself does not get great service so even using hotspot wasn’t great at times. Park itself is ok, waterpark and pool is great for kids. Amenities such as washing machines etc are excellent. Access to beach is simple and so close by. Entertainment in park is also great Overall we had a great week there with lots of fun had by our family

Lovely Park, well maintained, friendly hosts and short walking distances to 3 good beaches. Cabin was nice and very affordable. Will definitely return in the future for another week or 2 stay.Good access to beaches and walking trails.

Not a very good park, unruly kids, on-site vans with loud and crude people. Very tight spots not suitable for caravans or some larger campers. Campsites are on a very busy and loud street. Not good if your looking for a relaxing quiet holiday. Will not be back or recommend this park to anyone

Unfortunately we wont be returning to this park! We stayed in the Villas, it’s a great spot by the pool and water park if you have children but unfortunately that’s all the room has going for it. The rooms are so run down for the amount being charged. Taps don’t work, the shower door doesn’t close and allows water to drip all over the floor, and the cleanliness of the room is disgusting. I wouldn’t recommend staying in the villas if you do choose to stay here.
