Guesthouse provides free pick up and drop off at train station. Hotel breakfast was simple but good and filling. Hotel room had oxygen supply provided. Cleaning can be a bit better. Found some trash under the sofa upon check in when we accidentally moved it. Guesthouse provided coupon for free Handmade ******* Incense or Thangka Making Experience inside the ancient town, would recommend others to go if you have time. Overall a comfortable stay, location is walking distance to ancient town.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent stay – highly recommended for families We stayed here with our family and had a truly wonderful experience. The place is very clean, peaceful, and beautifully located close to nature. What touched us the most was how kind and caring the staff and the owner are. They were incredibly helpful throughout our stay and always made sure we were comfortable. During our stay, one of our family members needed to go to the hospital, and the owner and staff personally helped us, even driving us there and taking care of everything. Their support and kindness went far beyond what we expected, and we are deeply grateful. This is a perfect place for families. There are animals around such as dogs, cats, and birds, which made the experience even more special and joyful for us. The atmosphere feels warm, safe, and welcoming, just like home. We are very, very happy to have stayed here and truly appreciate everything they did for us. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Shangri-La, especially families looking for a caring and heartfelt place to stay.

Deze familiereis voerde ons van Chuxiong naar Dali, Lijiang en vervolgens naar Shangri-La. Van alle guesthouses waar we verbleven, was Banzhan Guesthouse het guesthouse waar ons gezin het meest van genoot. We verbleven er drie nachten en de eigenaren waren ongelooflijk vriendelijk en gastvrij. 1. Het hotel was erg schoon, wat voor mijn gezin het allerbelangrijkste was. 2. De kamers waren smaakvol ingericht en hadden een prachtig dakterras. De faciliteiten waren ook compleet, inclusief vloerverwarming, een zuurstofconcentrator, een wasmachine, een droger en oplaadstations. 3. De service was uitstekend. Hoewel we laat aankwamen, hielp de eigenaar met parkeren. Ze brachten 's avonds melk naar elke kamer en de moeder van de eigenaar hielp zelfs met de was en het ophangen van kleding. Goede service blijkt uit de details. 4. Er waren verschillende schattige katten en honden. Mijn kinderen vonden het vooral leuk om met hen te spelen. Ze ontmoetten zelfs de dochter van de eigenaar in het guesthouse, en de kinderen hadden er een geweldige tijd mee. Aan het einde van de reis vroeg ik mijn zoon wat zijn gelukkigste momenten waren. Ten eerste paardrijden in Lijiang; ten t****e spelen met zijn kleine zusje en neefje in het pension! Haha!

A Warm Home in Shangri-La - Definitely Choose Wufan Shanjian! The luckiest choice of my trip to Shangri-La was definitely Wufan Shanjian Light Luxury Homestay, and the biggest surprise was meeting the owner couple, a local ******* pair. The simplicity and enthusiasm unique to Tibetans in them filled the entire journey with warmth. From the moment we landed, we were surrounded by their thoughtfulness: they not only took the initiative to pick us up at the high-speed railway station but also carefully reminded us not to rush to take a bath just after arriving on the plateau and to remember to turn on the oxygen concentrator at night. A family member traveling with us had a bit of altitude sickness, and the landlady Zhuoma immediately brought Coke and glucose to relieve the discomfort. In the evening, she specially brought warm yak milk and fresh grapes. Even the child kept saying that Aunt Zhuoma was as kind as family. The husband was simple and enthusiastic. When he saw that we had trouble parking, he immediately helped park the car without hesitation, so we didn't have to worry at all. When we wanted to find delicious skewers or plan the route around Napahai, they could always give the most authentic suggestions and even recommend reliable stores, which were more useful than the strategies we made. The environment of the homestay is impeccable. As a person with a bit of obsessive-compulsive disorder about cleanliness, the cleanliness here completely exceeded expectations - the rooms are bright and tidy, the bed sheets and quilt covers have no peculiar smell at all, and even the bathroom is cleaned spotlessly. The facilities are also very considerate, with full-house floor heating and smart devices. The oxygen concentrator by the bed can automatically adjust the oxygen concentration, completely solving the worry about sleeping on the plateau. What's more surprising is that the location is in the center of the ancient town, only a three-minute walk to the prayer wheel, making it very convenient for shopping and dining. During the few days staying here, I was moved by the details every day: free down jackets and umbrellas, pre-prepared moisturizing masks, hot breakfast in the morning, and even after leaving, when we found that we had forgotten something, the boss would carefully send it back. This kind of warmth that is not family but better than family made the beauty of Shangri-La more concrete. Next time I come, I will definitely stay here again!

Cleanliness is pretty decent, but don’t expect the cleanliness of a 5* hotel. Bathroom shower walls are slightly moldy at the corners and edges, so if you’re a fussy traveler this may be a 3 or 4 rating. Depending on your requirements, this location can bea 5/5 or a 2/5. This is located far from Dukezong Ancient Town, and far from other restaurants. Scenery is great and quiet from the hustle and bustle , hence the potential 5/5 rating. But since it’s far from other places, food options and “shopping” are limited, hence the 2/5. The room we booked was quite far away from the lobby. It’s the furthest house located. Service is a 5/5. You’ll get full help with your butler carrying your luggage from your car arrival, all the way to your room, and from your room to the lobby when you checkout. Any issue? Just simply WeChat the group chat dedicated for your booking. You get free breakfast 2 choices. 1 porridge set with many side dishes. Or noodle soup. You get free afternoon tea with various choices (coconut latte was good) and a free ice cream cake. At night 8.30 onwards you get dessert soup which was great too. The afternoon tea and dessert soup can be delivered to your room. Not sure about breakfast, as we came out to the cafeteria to eat. Amenities are wonderful, 5/5. Don’t expect a swimming pool or gym here, but you’ll have activities for you to enjoy here without stepping out of the area. A small pool table near the lobby (albeit crapping conditions of the balls). Free sliced carrots provided to feed the farm animals (ducks, swans, goats, pony, donkey), but no feeding of carrots to the 3 doggies!! You also get to dress up in the traditional costume and get free photo shoot with 3 unedited photos for free (per room). If you want the edited photos, do expect to pay a sum (way more expensive than other market rates you can find outside) for it. The room has floor warmer and bed warmer which was great for the cold weather we experienced in end March. It was 0-10 degrees. The toilet was cold. The heating in toilet does not seem to work. So you have to brace the cold and take your shower. But the bed, floor and room was really warm. Hotel also have a restaurant which you can order food for lunch and dinner. But it’s a little on the pricey side. It would be better to ******* and order food delivery. But their restaurant food is surprisingly tasty. So if you don’t mind the price, can order from them. About 180 yuan for 1 meat and 1 vege dish. Overall experience was great. Love the service. If you want a chill time and not travel out to shopping areas, this is a great hotel for you to book. You get the enjoy the “pet farm” life and the nature.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Antiman Black Bean Estate (Napa Lake). From the moment I checked in, the staff were incredibly helpful. They checked in on me daily to ensure I had everything I needed and were lightning-fast in responding to every request. The Room: I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade from a standard room to a room with a breathtaking mountain view! The room was exceptionally comfortable, and if I could, I would give this hotel 10 stars. The Perks & Facilities: The complimentary services exceeded all my expectations. I thoroughly enjoyed: • Interacting with the farm animals. • The lovely afternoon tea and delicious breakfast spreads. • The traditional ******* costume experience. • Seamless arrangements for snow activities (including a great driver). • Luxury vehicle transfers to/from the train station. To my fellow Malaysians and travelers from all around the world: if you are visiting the area, this hotel is a must stay. I highly recommend it for their hospitality and top notch facilities!

Een fantastische ervaring! Het landschap van Napa Lake onder de heldere hemel was werkelijk adembenemend. Alleen al door de gordijnen in de kamer te openen, had je een adembenemend uitzicht. De gastvrije lokale Tibetaanse eigenaar zorgde niet alleen voor handig vervoer, maar hielp ook bij het plannen van onze reisroute en legde verschillende lokale specialiteiten en gebruiken uit – professioneler dan een gids! Een zeer bevredigende ervaring.

The best hotel ever! I wish we stay longer but time is not on our side. The services is tiptop. Every staff in the hotel is very accommodating especially for us who dont speak Chinese. They help u with anything u need, shout out to our butler for being so wonderful. And they can pick u up from any station for FREE! they even have welcome drink for you. The view is to die for, even without the snow the view is spectacular, might come back when there is a snow. And yes i would 100% recommend anyone who wants to stay here. Everything is wonderful.

A Rustic Paradise with 100/10 Service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our only regret about staying at this homestay is that we only booked for one night, we truly wish we could have stayed much longer! From start to finish, this was a 10/10 experience defined by genuine kindness and a stunning ”rustic farm” atmosphere. The service is beyond exceptional! A massive shoutout to Xiao Gong, who was incredible from the very beginning. She coordinated with us via WeChat long before we even arrived, constantly checking in to ensure we were okay. Her English is excellent, and she went above and beyond to accommodate every single request with a smile. We also want to give a special thank you to Ting Zeng, Gong Fu Yan, Ba Song, and Da Dong. This team is charming, professional, and extremely attentive. They handled our bags, guided us through the local customs, and their constant smiles made us feel so welcome. They truly give their all to ensure guests are happy. We were also thrilled to be upgraded to a room with an even more spectacular view! The attention to detail is impressive: The bed was perfect, and the heated floors were a lifesaver. They provide oxygen supplies, high-quality towels, humidifier, mini fridge, hair dryers, and full toiletry kits. The staff also took the time and extra mile to explain how to use all the equipment in detail, which was so helpful. Overall, the property itself is a dream, a beautiful farm courtyard filled with horses, sheep, and yaks. It feels authentic and peaceful. On top of the gorgeous setting, the complimentary services were the cherry on top: Professional photography / Traditional tea sessions and afternoon coffee / A delicious breakfast & A thoughtful goodbye goody bag! This place has heart and soul. If you are visiting Shangri-La, do yourself a favor and book more than two days here. We will definitely be back!
