We were very happy with our stay. The room was amazing and hi-tech. The boss and her daughter was very friendly and was extremely helpful. She also sent us to the scenic area. Highly recommended this place. We had an amazing stay at this homestay ! The location is strategic, situated right along the main road of the nearest village to Wangxian Valley Scenic Park. Despite being in a busy area with many shops nearby, the homestay is surprisingly quiet, thanks to it good soundproofing, ensuring us a peaceful rest. The room was exactly as shown in the pictures—very clean and well-maintained. What truly set this homestay apart was the exceptional hospitality of the lady boss and her brother. From the moment we made our booking, she was incredibly responsive on WeChat, answering all our questions and even arranging a transfer from the high-speed rail station to the homestay. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a free room upgrade, allowing us to stay in side-by-side rooms for the convenience of taking care of my elderly father. We arrived quite late, around 9 PM, yet we were warmly welcomed with a thoughtful gift set, including a packet of milk and some bread—such a kind gesture from the owner. During our stay, we were also invited to join the local Chap Goh Mei celebration, which was a fantastic cultural experience for us. Breakfast was provided through vouchers, allowing us to try delicious meals from different nearby shops on both mornings. Another highlight was the free shuttle service to Wangxian Valley. The lady boss’s brother was incredibly prompt—whenever we called, he arrived within minutes. Upon checkout, we received a beautiful set of bowls as a farewell gift, which was a lovely touch. We were from Malaysia. This was our first time traveling free and easy in China, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The warmth and generosity of the hosts made our trip truly memorable. By the way, the lady boss also able to communicate in English. I believe this well make communication easy for those English speakers. Really highly recommended! 我们在这家云上小棧民宿度过了一次非常愉快的住宿体验！民宿位置十分优越，位于前往望仙谷景区最近的小街主干道上，周围有许多商店，但即使临街，房间依然安静，房间的隔音非常好，不受噪音影响。 房间与照片完全一致，非常干净整洁。但最让我们感动的是女老板和她弟弟无微不至的热情款待。从预订开始，女老板就在微信上非常及时地回复我们的所有问题，还贴心地帮我们安排了从高铁站到民宿的接送服务。 抵达民族宿时，我们意外收到了房间升级的惊喜，让我们可以住在相邻的房间，方便照顾年迈的父亲。我们到达时已是晚上9点，但仍然得到了热情的欢迎，老板娘还贴心地赠送了一份小礼物——一袋牛奶和面包，真的很温暖！ 入住期间，老板娘还特意邀请我们参加元宵节（十五暝）前夕的当地庆祝活动，让我们大开眼界，感受到浓厚的地方文化氛围。早餐方面，民宿提供早餐券，可以前往附近的商店用餐，我们连续两天尝试了不同的店家，每家都非常美味。 民宿还提供免费接送服务前往望仙谷景区，速度极快。我们打电话，几分钟内老板娘的弟弟就会到达接送我们，十分方便。退房时，像其他客人一样，我们还收到了一份精美的瓷碗作为纪念品，真的很用心！ 我们是马来西亚人，这是我们第一次在中国自由行，酒店的热情服务让整个旅程变得轻松又难忘，强烈推荐！

I want to start by sincerely thanking the uncle who works at this homestay for all his hospitality and attention. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were very well treated and taken care of. I will definitely remember our stay in Wangxian and hopefully come back to see the uncle. My partner and I visited from Canada and I speak very little mandarin. Despite this, the uncle and the other residents of the neighborhood were very patient and helpful when communicating. The check-in process was electronic. You scan the uncle’s QR code with your WeChat and register your information. For foreigners, it would be helpful to have WeChat running before arriving. The check-in was in Chinese, but I just screenshot the page and translated it and had no problems. We stayed in room 301, it was a double room and true to the pictures. The cleanliness was good and it was quite confortable. There are large windows for lots of sun. The water is hot and the AC is functional, no complaints. The homestay is very well located about a 10 minute drive from the Wangxian scenic area, and roughly an hour from Shangrao station. In the vicinity, there are many restaurants and a little supermarket. Since it was quiet the night we checked-in, the uncle took us to visit the town nearby and gave us lots of recommendations for our visit such as going to the scenic area in the afternoon, and staying until the lights come on to see the night view. We had dinner in the neighbour’s restaurant as recommended by the uncle. The food was home-cooked and the quantities were generous. Although we ate at the neighbour’s, the uncle also has some food and beverages you can buy, as well as some tables where you can eat. Later in the evening, the uncle and neighbours invited us to sit with them and we shared some great moments together. The next morning, the uncle had prepared a very typical Chinese breakfast for us to try. We then went up to the scenic area around midday and came back around 7pm. When we came back, we had dinner in the neighbour’s restaurant again and shared some more moments with them. The uncle and neighbours helped us coordinate transportation to our next location and gave us recommendations to better enjoy our next destination which we followed and it turned out great thanks to them. The community is what makes this place charming and I recommend it to anyone.

The guesthouse owner was very helpful. He came to fetch us from the taxi drop-off point at the main road upon our arrival. The guesthouse was very well designed and the room was spacious even for a family. The owner led us to the back entrance to Wuyuan's Huang Ling tourist attraction spot via a shortcut. It's a very memorable stay in this cosy guesthouse.

Wat een top verblijf! Nancy en haar man zijn geweldige gastvrouw en heer. Ze leggen je compleet in de watten. Het hotel (wat ons betreft is het veel meer dan een hostel) is smaakvol ingericht met een gezellige bar met pooltafel en leuke zitjes. Het eten is echt top, misschien het beste tijdens onze reis is China. De kamers zijn origineel ingericht met een super nette badkamer met alles erop en eraan. Nancy adviseerde ons met Master Yu op pad te gaan, wat een aardige en behulpzame man. Met de Google Translate app erbij hadden wij geen gids nodig. Het is een aanrader met hem op padvinder gaan, hij vermijdt de drukke en zoekt vergelijkbare plaatsen zien maar dan rustiger. Het gebied met kleine witte authentieke dorpjes is prachtig. Als je het echte China wilt ervaren in een unieke omgeving zoek niet verder!

Ik wilde al heel lang naar Wangxian Valley en eindelijk had ik de tijd om deze sprookjesachtige plek te bezoeken. Het hotel ligt in het schilderachtige gebied, en na het inchecken waren we snel bij de kern van het景区. De kamer die we boekten was van alle gemakken voorzien, de kinderen vonden het geweldig en mijn vrouw was zeer tevreden. Vanuit de kamer kon ik direct uit het raam kijken en genieten van het sprookjesachtige uitzicht, wat ik persoonlijk ook erg fijn vond. We kwamen tijdens het Lentefestival, en er waren op verschillende tijden prachtige voorstellingen, wat zorgde voor een geweldige feestelijke sfeer. Ons hele gezin heeft een heerlijke vakantie gehad. We komen zeker terug!

The owner is very nice. We communicated via Wechat and the translation in the app helps the communication went through perfectly. The location is very nice as it's only 5 minutes drive to Wangxiangu and the owner was ready to drop us off and take us back just by texting him. We stay on the second floor. The amenities there are all we need. I like that there is a heater in the bathroom so that we don't get too cold while showering. The owner's mom took care of our breakfast. She cooked yummy dishes for us including hot vegan noodle soup which helps warming our body in a cold morning. However, the bathroom's sink is clogged with something that looks like leftover or vomit...so we tried not to use the sink. The worst thing of our stay is the transportation between Shangrao Station to the hostel. The owner offered us a pick-up and drop-off services which we will get a lower rate from the regular taxi service, so we accepted it. He didn't mention that it's going to be a shared ride until we found out ourselves that we needed to take a ride with 4 more people in the van, however, we're ok with that because of an affordable rate. Then we found it the worst riding experience in our life. As Shangrao is a small city with 2 lanes all along, the driver had always been trying to get ahead of the cars in the front and hitting his horn throughout 1 hour to the hostel which almost caused the accident. I was praying all the way. Nevertheless, on our trip back to Shangrao Station, the same driver took us there with his same style of driving and eventually an accident occurred! Our car was hit by another and we almost missed our train to another city. We almost had no doubt why we get hit Lol. The good thing is the driver called another car(with full of passengers) to pick up up to the station. We like the hostel but sadly we don't think we will ever go back to this city again...such a lift-time experience we got.

De duplexkamer met twee eenpersoonsbedden en hangende stoel in Xianxiu in Wangxiang Valley was geweldig! Perfect voor een gezin van drie, je verblijft midden in de geheime vallei, wat de ervaring onvergetelijk maakt ✨ De duplexindeling is super gelaagd, en de hangende stoel beneden is de kers op de taart. Heerlijk om daar weg te kruipen en van het prachtige uitzicht buiten te genieten, pure ontspanning. De twee eenpersoonsbedden zijn breed en comfortabel, het beddengoed is zacht voor de huid, zodat iedereen ongestoord kan rusten met veel privacy. De kamer in houtstijl past perfect bij de bergen en het water. De kamertemperatuur is comfortabel, zelfs in de winter voelde het niet koud aan – er is veel aandacht besteed aan details. Het hele verblijf was zorgeloos. De butler stuurde van tevoren reisgidsen, beantwoordde vragen direct, je kon snel het park in bij de ingang, en er was een portier om te helpen met de bagage. Inclusief toegangskaartjes en ontbijt. Na het bekijken van het avondlandschap loop je zo terug naar je kamer. 's Ochtends geniet je nog van de rustige vallei, en je loopt zo naar de populaire bezienswaardigheden. Onbeperkte toegang tot het park is super handig. Als je met vrienden reist, boek dan deze plek zonder twijfel. De volgende keer verblijf ik hier weer!

Disappointing stay here. We had no choice but to extend our stay because it was Chinese new year and very difficult to find another place to stay and also my husband was sick so we had to change our plans and stay an extra night so he could rest. The place smelled like smoke everywhere. We have a baby with us and wanted a smoke free place. Despite the signs in the lobby saying No Smoking, people were smoking there and the front desk people didn’t care. The towels in our room had ashes on them and smelled like smoke. They were also ripped and badly needed to be replaced. (We got a smoke free room and learned on our trip that all they do for smoke free rooms is open the windows to air it out before you arrive. 🤦🏻♀️) There was insufficient toilet paper when we arrived and although they did provide more when we asked it was just inconvenient. The toilet paper holder was broken so we had to find somewhere else to put the roll of toilet paper. The sink leaked and it was supposed to be a dry washroom which is one of the reasons why I booked the place but turned out to be a wet washroom. Incredibly inconvenient with a baby. The shower drainage was missing a cover and it didn’t feel safe for my child when showering because her little feet could get stuck inside it. One of the days we needed to rest a little longer and the housekeeper asked us when we were leaving so she could clean our room. We said we needed 2 more hours (around 2pm) she kept trying to peer inside our room and said she wanted to get off work early. I found that incredibly rude. I understand it’s CNY and you want to go home early but that’s not something you should say to a guest who paid to stay at the hotel. Front desk people also did not seem friendly. Never saw any of them smile. We obviously don’t speak Chinese fluently and they laughed at us when they couldn’t understand us and wasn’t helpful in any way. Overall, not a very pleasant stay. Would not stay here again.
