I stayed two nights at this property, and found it a good value compared to other Marriott-affiliated properties in Seville. Overall, I would describe it as a well-managed, well-maintained property. The hotel is not in the center of town, but I did not find this to be an issue. Taxi and Uber rides were short and plentiful to anywhere I needed to go, and this property was a much better value than other affiliated properties in town. Management respects the value of high-status Bonvoy members for which I am grateful. They had upgraded me to a Junior Suite before my arrival. Regrettably, I did have one negative experience with a staff member, that was professionally resolved by the fast-thinking, guest-centric manager of the hotel. I had an evening work commitment and needed a quick early evening meal before going to work. It's Spain, and they don't serve dinner until at least 8:00PM. I arrived at 7:00 wanting to simply get a pizza off the bar menu. The woman tending bar totally ignored me for five full minutes upon my arrival. Finally, when she acknowledged my presence, I explained I was in a rush using a translator on my phone. After this exchange, she ignored me and attended to multiple drink requests from other customers who arrived after me, finally looking at me and saying"I only have two hands". She had no intention to order my food. It was obvious this woman simply had no interest in serving this guest. I left to find the manager in charge. After going to the front desk, I was introduced to a very helpful Ms. Yolanda Rodriguez, who conveniently is the General Manager of the hotel. Ms. Rodriguez immediately understood my dilemma, and personally went to the kitchen to order my food and solve the problem. Thanks to her, I was able to get to my work commitment on time and well fed. I trust that Ms. Rodriguez will use this customer interaction as an opportunity to train her staff on how they can improve the quality of service provided to their guests. In closing, I would like to thank and commend Yolanda Rodriguez for her exceptional customer service.
