City Hotel

a quiet, no too big hotel with well equipped rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast on the terrace in front of the sea is just marvelous. 5 minutes from the station, and free bikes to move around town and along the shore.

My wife and I stayed for the first two weeks of August 2022. The bed was extremely comfortable despite the room being quite small but workable. The bathroom however was extremely small and difficult to move about. Housekeeping was excellent and reception and restaurant staff were very professional and helpful. The downside of staying at this hotel and for us it was a major concern was the level of external noise throughout the night. Basically there was a bar next door set back from the main road and in front of this bar was a large paved area which was unused during the day but which at night became a meeting point for dozens and dozens of people who spent the night from about midnight until the early hours (04:00) playing a large sound system and screaming and shouting and preventing the hotel residents from sleeping. This was not an isolated incident and occurred several times during our stay culminating in four consecutive nights of this behaviour up to our last night which left us exhausted for travelling. When questioned, the reception staff apologised but said there was nothing they could do about the noise. As such, we could never risk staying at this hotel again and would caution others to be certain that they were not going to suffer this dreadful noise and sleep deprivation.

City Hotel is perfectly located to make the most of Senigallia. It's very clean and the staff is very kind. The structure has a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea we loved to have breakfast on. Highly recommended!

Arrivata in hotel dopo un’impegnativa giornata di lavoro mi sono ritrovata in una camera al quinto piano con un forte odore di muffa, con una sola finestra apribile a ribalta per pochi centimetri, senza riciclo d’aria! Inoltre in bagno il doccino era otturato dal calcare e dallo sporco per cui è stato difficile anche fare una semplice doccia! Non parliamo del phon risalente all’anteguerra con un leggero soffio d’aria. Ho dovuto chiedere alla reception un phon sostitutivo. Colazione con pochissima scelta di alimenti, frutta terminata al nostro arrivo e non riportata, il salato praticamente inesistente, minimo assortimento anche di croissant. Suggerisco di evitare.

Hotel vecchio, al massimo gli darei 3 stelle sc****. Camere attempate e materasso a molle da sostituire, ho dormito male. Personale gentile. Ristorante con menù interessante ma serve piatti troppo pesanti per il mio stomaco. Prezzi non congrui.

ottima struttura in ottima posizione, solo, per paradosso, riscaldamento un po' troppo alto. Colazione ok.

La mia breve esperienza in questo hotel (2 notti con prima colazione) è stata molto positiva. Gli ambienti sono curati e molto puliti, la stanza che mi è stata assegnata elegante, luminosa e con tutte le comodità, il bagno ampio e ben arredato. La cosa meravigliosa era aprire la tenda al mattino e trovarsi davanti il mare, la spiaggia e,a sinistra, la magnifica rotonda, simbolo di Senigallia. Buona la colazione e molto attento e professionale il personale.

Tornati in questo hotel dopo qualche anno, avendone conservato un ottimo ricordo. Fronte mare (20 metri dalla spiaggia, basta attraversare la strada), unica nota dolente il parcheggio. L’hotel dispone di un garage, ma nel nostro caso era pieno. Poco male, l’abbiamo lasciata appena fuori (strisce blu, neanche una multa). Camera spaziosa, funzionale, bagno ampio, doccia grande ed efficiente. Pulizia ottima, letto comodo, biancheria morbida. Il servizio è cordiale e con il giusto grado di informalità. Reception efficiente (risponde al secondo squillo). Punto di forza è senza dubbio la cucina. La colazione è essenziale. Notare le torte fatte in casa, il pasticcere le dovrebbe esporre in un museo d’arte. A pranzo e cena si può scegliere fra 3 portate di primi e 3 di secondi, oltre al dessert che cambia tutte le sere. I contorni sono a buffet. Al di là della freschezza e della bontà, colpiscono due cose: che il pesce sia sempre diverso (anche con tipologie pregiate) e che non ci siano sprechi, cosa assai apprezzabile. Davvero non comprendo talune recensioni poco lusinghiere: o sono tutti abituati a un livello da 5 stelle superior, oppure vi è penuria di buonsenso.
