We hadden pech met de auto, we brachten het hotel op de hoogte zodra het gebeurde, maar ze stuurden ons weg en zeiden dat we met Booking zouden praten, buooking nam contact met hen op, maar ze weigerden enige vorm van oplossing te geven, dus uiteindelijk ondanks dat het een serieuze en aantoonbare onvoorziene gebeurtenis was het geval dat ze in rekening brachten en weigerden, geven ons altijd een optie door te boeken, omdat ze onze oproepen of berichten negeerden. Klantenservice laat veel te wensen over.

An under-rated gem. Comfortable, spacious and eclectic rooms. Friendly and efficient staff. Pleasant balcony for enjoying breakfast. Very convenient location.

This historic building-turned-inn is terrific. It has been remodeled with all the modern conveniences while maintaining all of its old world charm. Suites are large with immensely high ceilings and huge bathrooms, common seating areas abound, the buffet breakfast is delicious, and it's within walking distance to the historic Coimbra university and botanical gardens. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

The apartment was not as described. It had no utensils, no dishes and no cooking equipment. There was no coffee maker or hot water heater. The young woman in charge made an excuse about it and did not offer any retribution. I had to walk out in the rain to the front of the building and ask for a coffee mug so I could heat water in the microwave for my own tea bag. The was no internet either. Also the shades did not work - some were stuck in the down position and others in the up position. The woman told us the people before us must have broken them.

Did not like staying in the attic room on the 3rd floor. There were no windows except a tiny one on the ceiling in the bedroom and another tiny one in the corridor going to the bathroom. These tiny windows were dirty and had bird poop on them. The room also needed some repairs with what looked like water damage and peeling paint. You had to be very careful not to hit your head on the ceiling beams as it was a very slanted roof and the beams were very low (if you are tall this would be a problem). There were only three of us in the "family room" but it felt claustrophobic.

At glance the superior room looked great, but we had terrible smell from the bathroom sewer. The bed was also medium comfort.

The luggage is a very clean and beautiful Hotel. Breakfast at the terrasse with a view over the city was wonderful!
