Boston Hotel

I visited here with GB tours, and I had great time there. The staff were really helpful, rooms were kept clean daily and the food was very good. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a great stay

Just back from a 4 night stay(30 Oct to 3 Nov),on coach holiday with GB Tours.Excellently run hotel run by private hosts.Had Room 12 overlooking North Bay.must say the service for breakfast and evening meals was brilliant.Various options for breakfast,english breakfast comprised sausage,bacon,fried egg,fried bread,croquette potato,beans and tomato.All well cokked hot,and quality ingredients For evening meals over the 4 nights i selected Chicken Breast,Steak pie,breaded fish and chips and roast turkey.All meals came with fresh vegetables.Should say the service by the 2 young girls was brilliant,so fast,polite and efficient.

Lovely Hotel immaculately clean Great Menu waiters tried to help all guests with their diet requirements. Warm and welcoming Must be difficult to keep premises warm in this cost of living crisis but this they did THANK YOU Boston Hotel. While in Scarborough for our 4days we visited SJ theatre Constant Companion s great play 👍

On arriving at that Boston,noted approximately 11 steps up to the hotel entrance.One flight 4 step,then 7 or 8 step quite steep. Our room was on the second floor,there is a lift,for only 2 people. The room was small,dated as we expected. Just enough room to navigate around the bed.There were tea,coffee making facilities,which were both vile,the teabag were not sealed so lost their flavour. Then the biggest shock,where was the toilet come bathroom.Behind a narrow dark wood door,that needed attention,as it was hanging off its hinges.Plus when opening door to room,the stay,hit the door to the shower hut. Well the shower you have to clamber over a foot high piece of boarding,Behind another dark wood door,that opened already into a small room the toilet come wash sink,nowhere for OUR toiletries,as you are only given a bar of soap, So our toiletries had to be left in our bags,on the already crammed worktop. There was no where to sit comfortably in our room,others than the bed,the only chair was a dining room chair and you nearly fell through that. The lights over the bed you hit your head on. No electric sockets either side of the bed.Double socket on wall between shower hole and cupboard housing toilet and sink.You had to place items you wish to charge,on a dirty carpet.Not ideal.Other sockets on already overloaded worktop,had mini tv and kettle. Meals,I think because we were on a bargain break on a coach,portion control was inforce. Variety of starters,mains,desserts all well presented,by two lovely young ladies,which having looked after us through the few days we were there,were not present on our last morning.??? Location,The hotel is situated well for all amenities. The castle is within walking distance,Also the town centre. Word of warning the surrounding pavements are covered in dog faeces. After emails sent advising of my disability and using a mobility scooter, and asking for eithr ground floor or lift with no stairs, then recieving an emaikl back to say that that these had been agreed, we arived to find the the hotel ws not disability accesable, huge amount of stairs just to get to the front door, speaking to staff they said they were not aware of my emails but when i showed him on my phone they just blamed *********** and said they didnt let them know, my 85 year old mothers room had a bad smell and was not clean, our room was dirty black mold and hair in the shower dirty kettle. carpet and painwork needed a clean. the free street parking is done via a sctatch card handed to you but parking spaces are extremely hard to find, i know its a budget hotel but even they should have some standards, unfortunatly you cant ohotograog a smell, if i felt more confident i would have asked for my money back, we left early in the morning

Hello, Thank you for our recent stay at your hotel, I joined my best friend on holiday with Glenton Holidays from Scotland to Scarborough. We both enjoyed our holiday in your hotel and the sunshine was glorious and was our visit to many attractions and points of interest...really lovely. Overall, the Hotel was lovely, especially the food and I had a Continental Breakfast with porridge, lovely, the lounge rooms where very pleasant and spacious. Our beds, linen were also great, clean and comfortable. We were accommodated in room 7, which I think had been recently decorated, however, I was not especially happy with the dust in the room, the stained kettle lid and the curtains, pretty awful really dusty and not fitting. I tried hard to make them neat, but I could not. I was okay with the room, but please update your bathrooms, the shower was dirty with hair and a broken soap dish and the toilet smelled of wee, not great really. You have a lovely, family run hotel and I did not wish to complain as such because overall our experiences food, linen etc were very good. The staff were also very kind and helpful and so busy, I understand. If out of anything, I can really stress is please update and clean your bathrooms, then the services you offer will be excellent, as such, I am offering a good to very good in many areas. I would love to come back for Summer 2024. Thank you, Nichola
