This hotel was by far the best and most beautiful we have experienced on our round trip through Rajasthan. With a lot of effort lovingly restored, unobtrusive but very attentive service and a great Indian cuisine. The rooms are very tasteful, individually and colorfully furnished and decorated. The various courtyards and the beautiful outdoor pool invite you to relax. From the various terraces, balconies and tours ***** the fortress wall you have a wide view over the green surroundings and the small town below the fort. Far away from the chaotic traffic, you can finally breathe fresh air again. This hotel is the ideal stopover on the route from Jaipur to Udaipur. We do highly recommend a stay without any reservation whatsoever.

Excellent service and food! Very humble people. The staff was always on their toes to serve us. All our requests were attended to with a smile. The chef made a variety of food for us on demand and each and every item was super tasty. Will definitely come back again.

The most beautiful place on our tour. Very friendly and polite staff. Extremely attentive hotel manager. Definitely a place you must see, a place you must stay at! Warmly welcomed by the staff and excellent heritage property to spend a good leisure time . Food is good but prices are a bit high , rooms are spacious with good views . Lush greenery and a perfect pool to spend quality time with your partner or family .

Most amazing scenic fort high above the village, reception from staff made us feel like royalty. They gave us a choice of rooms and did not disappoint with a beautiful lake view. Hotel/Fort was stunning. Pool was beautiful. But the service was next level. Was always someone waiting for us to either guide us, get us food or drinks or check if anything we wanted bringing to room. The service and venue made us feel like royalty. Something we have never experienced and will never forget. Swimming in the pool to, sunset drinks on the terrace, breakfast with a roof top view and dinner fitting of newly weds on their special day. Can't wait to come back.

If you want to experience what life for the royals must have been like in India - look no further!! This impressive fort/palace is situated at the top of a hill with unparalleled views from all sides. The rooms are stunningly appointed with incredible attention to detail. Fresh flowers subtly placed throughout the room … beautiful furniture … spotlessly clean. The staff are absolutely devoted to service & to ensuring your every comfort is met. The food is delicious - freshly prepared and lovingly served. Meals are taken al fresco; dinner is beside the stunning Lilly pond (with a personal fireplace lit for you if it’s chilly) while breakfast is served on the rooftop patio with stunning views of the surrounding lakes & mountains.

This is truly the most magical place we have visited in India, we were looking for a stop between udaipur and Ajmer, this place is a gem. We were looked after so well and the fort is stunning. Do consider stopping over or basing your trip from here.

Sardargarh is a great way to break the drive between Jaipur & Udaipur and experience staying in a 300 year old palace/fort in rural Rajasthan. The family are restoring the palace to its former glory and as the only guests we were treated like royalty. The staff went out of their way to look after us. The food was delicious and breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake spectacular. We enjoyed a train ride through local villages and Aravelli Ranges, which was a highlight. As an old structure everything was not like a 5* city hotel but the atmosphere, experience & hospitality made up for it. Overall this was one of our favourite places.

Wow, I am still taking in this incredible experience, I have never stayed anywhere like this magnificent heritage hotel. From the moment I arrived I was treated like royalty, the view from my room was stunning, the grounds and courtyards simply delightful and the service impeccable. I have to go back and show this place to friends
