I checked in on 21 July 2021 around 22:30.
I was very impressed with all the decorations and the very “ADVANCED” electronic ID check in system which gave the hotel a very trendy and modern.
At that time, I was serviced by a polite female front desk officer. I was not familiar with the tablet provided by the hotel and they asked me to use the front camera to take a photo of my residence card, it was late at night and my friend and I would proceed as quickly as possible so that we would not cause any trouble to the staff, but I tried using the tablet several times and it just would not work.
Suddenly, one of the male staff, Murakawa-san, came to my rescue being very “HELPFUL” and instructed me saying“ カード前に持って” , with a loud and “CLEAR” voice in a very strong tone. Even though with his help, the tablet simply would not work.
I personally have never written any feedbacks for hotels which I have stayed around the world.
I have had good experiences staying at Nest Hotel Japan and I was so looking forward to trying Bespoke during my Hokkaido trip.
Even with several unsuccessful attempts, that supervisor Murakawa-san had the audacity to tell me to put my hand in front of the tablet in imperatives without being so much as polite to me as a customer who happens to understand Japanese, the whole incident was absolutely absurd and I had never expected such experience to take place in Japan.
