Very good location and facility. Old style but everything is well maintained. You need a car to be mobile, as public traffics is only bus line.

Hôtel très atypique qui a une vue magnifique sur la baie de Funchal. Un réel paradis pour moi car pas trop fréquenté, endroit calme et facile d'accès.
Avantage aussi d'être a 10 min seulement Funchal.
Le personnel aussi est à vos petits soins.

Nette schone kamer met schitterend ocean view. Fraaie badkamer met regen douche. Vriendelijk personeel. Eten viel tegen. Vrij duur en niet vers. Met de auto of bus ben je zo in de stad met uitgebreide eetgelegenheden. Ook de luchthaven is dicht bij.

Het was een fijn verblijf in ocean Gardena. Een goed ontbijt. Het restaurant was goed maar de frites zijn slap en niet doorbakken. De limpets zijn taai en hadden zand. De filet steak was goed. Tip de bus vertrekt voor het hotel en brengt voor 1.95 in funchal.

Fabulous hotel with views to die for! We stayed in the newly renovated rooms and they were just stunning and again had amazing views. The hotel was super clean, the pool area was lovely. It is out of the centre so you do need to taxi which costs €10-15 or get the bus ( which didn't turn up when we tried so we found taxi better) we didn't mind being out of the centre because the hotel was worth it! The staff were great and the restaurant was beautiful with great food. The only thing I can fault the hotel on is that the water in our room was not replenished. Otherwise it was perfect. I would absolutely stay here again!

A truly four-star hotel. Large, well appointed rooms and bathrooms, quality furniture, impeccable cleanliness, kind, polite, helpful staff. The restaurant is excellent (but quite expensive, it's true), also with a professional and very kind staff. I highlight mainly Miss Ludovica, a very special person and a very pretty young lady. The only minus - the hotel is a bit isolated, there is nothing of great interest nearby. But a free shuttle service to Funchal is provided, three times a day, with the exception of weekends and holidays. I recommend this hotel.

This place is so nice and romantic. The hotel has great views and a lot of amenities. We stayed in room 601, new room, everything was nice and fresh and had one of the best view. The breakfast and dinner was delicious. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. Marcelo and Barbara lovely staff. Marcelo has helped us with tips and advices about Madeira. He has wrote a note for us with most of the attraction points. Lovely place to stay!
