Phoenix Island Ocean Dream Resort

I have stayed at this hotel previously and had a really wonderful experience,  which is why we chose to return. I feel like this time around, It has deteriorated a lot and I’m not quite sure if that’s because of Covid or the time of year. (December / Jan) We were placed in a different building this time, and it was not as good as the other building. [not the main building either time.] it was much smaller, and all see through glass which is awkward if you’re with friends. The breakfast options were not that good as 3/4 of the food had some time of pork [which I don’t eat] so I was having fried eggs and bread with fruit for almost the entire trip. The pool only opened at 11AM , and that’s if you hang around there and caught someone’s attention. [there was a chain lock on the doors which are newly installed] we also had to sign a waiver before entering the pool, which I have never done before. The pool was insanely cold , and there was no other pool options. [heated.] There was no barbecue dinner buffet option the entire time that we stayed. The rooftop bar was deserted when we visited. The drinks were incredibly diluted, and I felt like I was cheated in terms of the price and quality.

I stayed at the Phoenix Dream hotel for 2 nights .The room is very simple but the views are breathtaking. It’s located close to the helicopter sight seeing pad and the noise can be overwhelmed when the balcony is open/ spending the afternoon on the balcony. The breakfast is amazing .It is a bit of a drive from the airport to the hotel .

Staying at the Phoenix was an incredible experience. Location- The hotel is located in an area close enough to all the water activities and helicopter 🚁 rides. It’s not too far from the beach and about 10min you can find a small shopping center 🏬. The room - The room was extremely clean and I loved the bath on the balcony as well as the rain shower 😍 it’s very spacious Breakfast- my stay had breakfast included which was totally worth it ! The breakfast catered for both Chinese and western guest ( breakfast from 6-10) Con- the pool wasn’t available which they did stipulate but I think it should be available throughout the year as it’s still hot on winter. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow in my room and I think the hotel is under staffed because it was difficult to find someone to help me when I couldn’t find the breakfast buffet and when my elevator card wasn’t working Overall - There is a stunning 😍 view to wake up to and I would still Recommend it !

Location is good. The room is delightful we got an upgrade! Bath on the balcony was unbelievable the reason why we stayed there. Only downside is that in the mornings the bath looks into the next building where they can see you and you can see them.

exceptional service, there has been an incident with having no hot water in the shower late at night, but they really took care of it the very first thing next Morning, gave us an upgrade, also offered a special sky Lounge afternoon tea. really Professional people. Great place for couples and families. amazing Breakfast.

This was my second stay at this hotel and it’s always hard to leave because it’s almost perfect. However this time around the room had a very musky smell which is never great when you walk into any hotel room. The toilet had a shower curtain that didn’t look clean at all. The cheers looked like they need to be cleaned or the cover taken off and cleaned. Overall still above average but not as clean as the first stay I had. Ow and breakfast is a must.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Reception works quickly. Block C is a little bit old. But the view from the room is amazing. Bathtub 🛁 on the balcony is very clean. Breakfast is delicious. Lots of options. Western style food is available too.

I enjoyed try stay people were helpful and friendly from front desk,housekeeping, breakfast was superb , my view was excellent , I stayed in too 2103 ,I especially liked our room cleaner he was cheerful with a bright smile thank you service was excellent my friends liked it we definitely are coming back
