Istoria Hotel

We stayed at Istoria for 6 days and loved our stay at this beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived, the front of house staff (Isabella & Pavlos) were super welcoming and incredibly helpful with anything we needed - including booking transfers, a horse-riding excursion, spa treatments and restaurant recommendations. The hotel use WhatsApp for guests to contact reception which enables immediate responses and made all the organisation seamless, particularly the transfers. The interiors of the entire hotel are stunning and the pool area is a perfect / relaxing oasis. The beach is equally lovely and only a few steps away / opposite the hotel. We had breakfast at the hotel’s Mr E restaurant every morning and it was absolutely delicious with a range of choices on the menu. We also frequently had lunch by the pool, which was perfect. The friendly staff at Istoria made our stay so special, including the lovely ladies at breakfast (Antonia) and Sina to name just a few. We would highly recommend Istoria - it’s perfect for a restful and relaxing holiday. We will definitely be staying here again.

Everything is just like the pictures. The rooms feel like you have your own private villa. The pool is the most beautiful I have ever seen. It is quiet and relaxing. In 3 steps, you’re on the beach, where it feels luxurious and chilled. The staff could not have been more helpful, welcoming and attentive. They were ready to help us with travelling, best places to visit, accommodating our every need with a smile and no hassle. It was a truly relaxing and incredible holiday. We would visit every year if we could!

There are so many positive things to say about Hotel Istoria it’s hard to know where to begin! First the room, which was quiet and tranquil, with the largest and most comfy bed. We had an outside rooftop terrace and enjoyed sitting out each evening before bed. We loved the privacy of the pool, unlike other hotels along the seafront, you’re completely secluded from the road. And what’s not to love about walking across the road to the beach, with premium sun loungers and umbrellas, towel service etc. As other reviews have mentioned, the breakfast is amazing. Lots of options, relaxed and a lovely setting. But what really makes a stay at this hotel so special is the guest experience. The front of house staff can’t do enough for you, answering your questions day and night via WhatsApp, making recommendations and booking restaurants and trips. They helped us to have an amazing week in Santorini. We had a hire car and parked in the hotel car park and it was easy to get around the entire island from Perivolos. I also had a spa treatment whilst at the hotel and Irini was lovely, made me feel really comfortable and the Greek yoghurt facial literally left my skin glowing. We would love to return some day, it really is a special place!

The staff and property were outstanding. The staff were warm and friendly, helpful, and attentive. The hotel room was large and elegant with a private courtyard and the common areas were beautiful and relaxing. Hope to make it back soon!

It was a great experience with Irini She did a great job with me at the spa and her massage is very good She did the best that she can to make sure that I was relaxed and was professional I recommend going to Irini for the spa experience

Amazing experience with the nicest staff ever. A really great way to experience Greek hospitality. I would definitely recommend this place. Beds are amazing and breakfast and lunch are very nice too.

For me there’s no other hotel to stay at while I’m Santorini. The location can’t be beaten, we had the tranquility of the beach and vibes of the bars near and at the same time we were only 30 min away from Oía and Fira whenever we wanted to go for dinner or bars options. Istoria is a little 12 room hotel, all the facilities are lovely and stay very loyal to their history of being a horse stable formerly. The rooms are amazing, we had a plunge pool room and we loved all about it! It was always super clean, amazing details and great decor and style. The team and staff is also one of the best we have experienced, Katarina at Mr. E made our dinner so special! Isabella at the reception took care of every tiny detail and request we might have had and of course Stelios at the bar make sure our glass was never empty! Istoria also made a beautiful decoration in the room for my birthday and made me feel so special on this day. Thank you very much for all the attentions! We will come back 100% sure! Hopefully soon!

Excellent hotel. Staff was wonderful, pool is beautiful. Very comfortable breeds. Plunge pools were excellent and made for a very private experience when you did not want to sit by the pool. Drinks were a bit over priced.

Very beautiful place, perfectly located in front of the black sand beach. Design rooms with space. Food at Mr E. disappointing as some of the items on the menu were not available during our stay. In addition to that, a few were different but with no notice. It seemed the kitchen team was under staffed. Housekeeping did not come 2 days for night service during our stay. Nevertheless, the team was very kind and helpful to get the best of the island! Sure it will be better for next guests.
