We have stayed at Melrose in our previous transit’s through Johannesburg
From the pick up at the airport to our departure we were well looked after. Lovely clean an spacious rooms. Invigorating swimming pool. Tasty breakfasts with plenty of coffee on tap

I loved my room, clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. The room also nicely decorated, big and on point. Nice balcony for me to exercise from in the morning was a plus. I would recommend and I can go back stay there with o hesitation.

I cannot write more highly about all the staff at Melrose Place. Our flight was significantly delayed coming in and we got a message that the chef has cooked us dinner for when we arrive so we have less to worry about. Everyone was so friendly and helpful both with touring advice but also safety tips like not taking marked taxis. The garden was beautiful and the room was nice.

I had the chance to stay 2 days in this establishment during a family trip. The staff is very nice and accommodating. We were 11 people and we received an excellent welcome. The evening meals are very good and homemade, with a vegetarian version each time. The establishment is secure. It also has a swimming pool but I didn't have time to test it. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathrooms are huge. Each room is equipped with a hair dryer and French sockets. We have suffered the power cuts that occur regularly in the country but the establishment is equipped with a generator which allows us to keep the lights and emergency sockets. I recommend this property if you have to stay in Johannesburg.

We stayed in a ground-floor flat/room. Own entrance Immaculate and in good condition.
Fridge, kettle to make your own brew, comfortable bed and good wifi.
Very comprehensive breakfast.
Even in April, my wife ventured into the pool for a refreshing swim.
Plenty of places to eat within safe walking distance.
Lovely and quiet. Certainly return when we visit friends again

I beautiful property in the best and central location. Magnificent tranquil gardens, secure and well cared for. The staff is accommodating and friendly. The breakfast is homemade daily, nothing is too much! This is home away from home for me, I have stayed at this lodge on numerous visits to Johannesburg. I never want to leave.
