We were on the first floor and the property was noisy. For what we paid vs what we got, I didn't feel like this was a good deal. The people running the place were nice and helpful.

Hotel is located perfectly if you want to explore Old San Juan. Staff is very attentive and friendly. The room was clean, the beds were good and the bathroom as well.
The only reason I rate this place with 4 stars is that the room we were in was quite loud - you could hear the noise from the street as if it was coming directly from the door, and as it rained pretty strong during our stay the roofers very noisy. If that doesn‘t bother you it is a very good place to stay.

We were placed in a room in the courtyard and next to ana elevator. There was so much noise and we couldn't sleep at all. TV was not working, asked front desk staff to come take a look but no one ever showed up. It was almost windowless since it was so much above the ground and curtains were drawn because it was facing the public area in courtyard. Location was great, room well kept, but if you want a quiet place this is not for you.

Loved, loved loved our stay here. I’d give them 10 stars if I could! Spacious and comfortable room was so perfect. Right in the heart of old San Juan we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Staff was so kind and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Lovely stay in Old San Juan. Charming hotel in a perfect location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and quiet. We would stay again.

Good local place to stay on Old San Juan. Staff was great, rooms nice. Only complaint was that our room was on the 1st floor where everyone came in through and the bar was right in that area, so it got a bit noisy at times, but after 11:00pm, it got quiet

My partner and I booked a stay here for two nights at the beginning of our first ever trip to Puerto Rico. We got into San Juan airport early in the evening of Valentine's Day, and it was very easy to get a taxi to Decanter Hotel. We were also able to get into the roof top bar for a romantic dinner that evening. The views, food, drinks, and ambiance were excellent!
The location of this hotel in the heart of Old San Juan is incredibly convenient. Spending a day exploring the historic city and forts was incredibly fun. It was easy to find places to get breakfast lunch and dinner near this hotel. This was a great base for our adventures.
When it was time to head back to the airport and pick up a rental car for the rest of our adventures on the island of Puerto Rico, it was very easy and convenient. The staff at the hotel were awesome. We would definitely be excited to stay here again!
