Zalige agriturismo uitgebaat door Steven en zijn familie, die immer klaar staan voor een babbeltje, voor hulp, voor tips,... Mooie, ruime en gezellig ingerichte vertrekken met alle nodige comfort en faciliteiten. Voor elk appartement een eigen terras, maar wie wil kan ook op het terras van het restaurant tot rust komen en iets drinken. Het zwembad is vlakbij, maar toch een beetje afgescheiden, zodat niemand hinder ondervindt. Van woensdag tot zondag kan je (in open lucht) genieten van een Toscaans 4-gangenmenu à schappelijke prijzen (31 €) - niets bijzonders maar zeker niet slecht - met een prachtig zicht op de heuvels rondom Certaldo. Ook streekwijnen (en andere dranken) zijn aan democratische prijzen te verkrijgen. Geweldige sfeer, mede dankzij de sympathieke verschijning van Steven, en dan wordt Il Rosolaccio bijna een klein dorpje waar iedereen mekaar leert kennen. Enig minpuntje was de gehorigheid (althans van ons appartement en de slaapkamers erboven), mede door krakende en zware deuren, maar voor de rest was dit een uniek vakantieverblijf. Zoals ons verblijf en onze etentjes is ook de afrekening daarvan zeer correct en in alle vertrouwen gebeurd, en dat is toch het belangijkste aan een vakantie: dat je op je gemak bent. Grazie mille!

We felt so fortunate to find this beautiful, family run farmhouse up on the hills in Tuscany. It overlooks a valley of vineyards which is enjoyed by the prestige pool, or having drinks while watching the sunset after a day of exploring. Steven and son, George, went to great length to ensure we were comfortable and cared for while hosted by them. We enjoyed meeting and getting to know other travellers, many who have returned annually for many years now.

We spent a wonderful week in the Tuscany region of Italy. Our choice of the picturesque B&B, “Il Rosolaccio” (“The Poppies, in English), was a significant component. It is beautifully located at the top of an expansive vineyard, with a wonderfully updated group of buildings (rooms, apartments and dining area). Stephen, who manages the property, and his son, George, were terrific in providing personalized service, advice on restaurants and surrounding sites, not to mention spending time to discuss some background and history of the property. The staff was very cordial, and eager to respond to any requests we made. We experienced a memorable one-on-one cooking class with Marisa, the in-house chef. Our dinners were served at 7 in the evening, overlooking gorgeous views of the sunset over the vineyard laden hills to the west. Daily breakfast was included on the terrace each morning, featuring fruit, cereal, Danish, home-made yogurt, coffee cakes, boiled eggs, a meat tray, juices and coffees. The swimming pool was clean and beautifully situated, overlooking the hills and valley below. The ambiance of this B&B was calm relaxation, surrounded by ancient towns and villages which we explored by car. A perfect Tuscan getaway!

We stayed for two nights on our month tour of Italy. Just amazing property with lovely hosts. The pool was fabulous as the area was experiencing very hot weather we recorded 36 degrees. Honesty ice cream and drinks hut great idea. Dinner on the terrace was fabulous would recommend trying this. Four courses overlooking the beautiful Tuscan landscape with vineyards and sunset. Stephen was a wonderful host great English and made us very welcome. Stunning location warm people and hospitality. Visited San Gimignano in evening when cooler as can get very busy so this worked much better. Would definitely return and stay longer next time.

Peaceful, comfortable place to stay with amazing views. The host was very accommodating, the meals were good, pool was great. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment, and slept well. We also did a cooking class which was fun, and tasty!

Nature and historical texture are very well preserved. The scenery is fascinating. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. An amazing breakfast is served with bird sounds. Manager Steven is very caring and helpful. He even helped us to pay the traffic ticket we got on the highway. If we go to Tuscany again, we will definitely stay at this hotel again. Thanks for everything

Steven and the family at IL Rosolaccio were absolutely amazing. This beautiful place on the vineyard adorn hills of Tuscany was the perfect blend of relaxation, Wine touring and a base to explore so many hidden gems of Italy. Whether a relaxing day poolside, a cooking class with Lucca or daytripping into San Geiminagno, Certaldo, Seina or many others. This is a must stay destination. Thank you Steven, Eliza, Lucca, Rita, George, Ingrid, and all the other amazing staff at IL Rosolaccio who made our stay so memorable. See you again in May 2023.

My family and I had planned a trip to Italy back in September 2020 and had to reschedule multiple times during the pandemic. We finally were able to take our trip in Septemeber 2021 and II Rosolaccio was a second option after our first villa did not have availbility. I'm so happy our original location was booked because the experience at II Rosolaccio is beyond words. Steven and George are the epitome of hospitality and treat their guests like family. There are plenty of hikes, a pool with a stunning view, and just a short ride from local towns nearby. George helped us find alternative dinner options as well as tours to book and was always available for any questions. Their on-site dinner and breakfast is a true Tuscany experience and inside the villa, your room is the perfect snapshot of Tuscany countryside. I cannot wait to go back here in the future!

Il B&b si trova sopra una collinetta, a 10 minuti da San Gimignano. I proprietari gentili e disponili Camera pulite e accoglienti da cui si gode un ottima vista Colazione nella norma con torte fatte in casa Purtroppo abbiamo soggiornato solo per una notte ma ci torneremo sicuramente
