We chose this hotel because of the location for getting to the trolley, a Hop-on Hop-off tour stop, the local bus system, and the nearby BART system. For this it did not disappoint. The price is reasonable, and the hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. From this, I digress. The noise level during the nights, was that a very loud level. All from external. Sirens, music, loud cars and trucks going by, garbage trucks in the middle of the night, quite a bit of yelling, and the like. Normal ear plugs did not help. If you stay here, you will need some heavy duty ear plugs. We get up earlier and the hotel lobby coffee was not ready ever before 7:00 a.m. there is coffee in the room, however if you need real creamer, you'll be out of luck until 7:00 approximately. Not a terrible review, just want people to be aware.

The room booked was spacious and the room rate also include breakfast. The hotel lobby also provide coffee and tea. The hotel is within walking distance to the cable car stop to travel to Union Square and Chinatown and also Fisherman Wharf.

I totally enjoyed my stay during a 4-days at this place. The location is super convenient, take 101/130/150 to go to Union square, walk a little bit and take 19 to go to Beach Road. If you are adventurous, you can actually walk to the Downtown. I had to check in early as my flight landed a bit advance. They allowed me to early check in at a nominal fee which is totally acceptable. Also the cityscape view from hotel is amazing! I felt the place is safer, all amenities provided (ironing bed, hangers, refrigerator, iron box, coffee and tea bags… so on). I would certainly stay here again and highly recommend checking this out. Yotel SF was perfect for my stay in SF. I stayed in a duplex room so the lower level was were the bathroom was and the bed was on the loft. It was impeccably clean and the bed was super comfortable. The complimentary coffee was a nice touch and there were even phone rooms available to use for work calls. The area surrounding the hotel is active at night as a meeting area for people without homes, but I just minded my own business and it was ok the one night I walked over from the train. If you're more concerned I recommend just taking a cab. The hotel itself is a good place to stay and I would book again!

The location is superior. It is close to several scenic spots in the city center. Hotel facilities are similar to domestic high-end chain express hotels. The rooms are small but the facilities are relatively new. The hotel is clean and the parking is expensive. Public parking nearby is cheaper.

Just what we needed in the city on the outside lands weekend. We were hospitably welcomed every time we stepped in the beautiful lobby. We were there for 4 nights and let me tell you we will be staying there again. Great showers, breakfast, decor and staff. Thank you all so much for being so welcoming to some out of Towners!

We stayed 2 nights at the Cartwright. While the management and customer service was awesome, the room was not. Especially for the price. There was barely any room except for the bed. The pictures of a king room are NOT what you get. I kept hitting my leg on the back corner of the bed frame, as the room to get in to the bed from that side was so small. Additionally, management had to be asked for ice. No vending machines. Coffee only in the morning. Also, there were numerous homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk across from the hotel. Parking is a block away, directions handed out are incorrect. While I appreciate the history of the hotel, I do not recommend a king room at this hotel unless it's for one person. I would not stay here again. There are multiple other hotels in Union Square.

Very nice and newly renovated room with a very comfortable bed. The room has all the amenities you would expect from a hotel of this category. It is quiet, but still very centrally located (right on Union square). The staff is very friendly and attentive, there is free water and delicious cookies in the lobby.

1. This is the last hotel I stayed in by self-driving tour. In order to go shopping to Union Square, shopping is very convenient, there are many places to eat, the overall feeling is ok, but the room size is too small, it is a little difficult to open two suitcases. ; 2. The room is very clean, the facilities are all available, very convenient, forget to take a photo of the room, unfortunately; 3. The service is very good, the luggage is left in the hotel for 6 hours after check-out at 11:00; 4. We had dinner at the restaurant next door to our hotel, very good, recommended; the Pinecrest Diner at the first intersection on the left side of the hotel is better, the food is delicious, the food is fast, the price is high, it is highly recommended; 5. There is a complimentary breakfast, just in the restaurant next door to the hotel where we had dinner last night. The breakfast method is ordered, waiting in line for 1 hour, waiting for half an hour, the efficiency is extremely low, do not go to the time or Going early in the morning, breakfast is necessary for improvement, and the time of the guests is very important! 6. From the beginning of the check-in until the second day of check-out, I did not see a front desk attendant who could speak Chinese. There was a discrepancy between the hotel and the hotel propaganda. However, the gentleman who checked the luggage would speak Mandarin and did not see it again when taking the baggage. It’s a bit unrealistic for the hotel to play “Chinese courtesy”.

The location is excellent, next to the yuena buerna gardens and SF MOMA. Also close to Union Square and Market Street. There are many shops nearby, including eating outlets. While the room is small, it is sufficient , after all, what i need is a heater and hot water bath in the winter. The room has a ensuite bathroom with a bathtub. The only feedback I have is on the small basin in the bathroom and the small work desk. The window is double-glazed, so the room is quite insulated from the outside noise. I am not sure about the condition in the summer - as there is no air-con, just only a ceiling fan. Overall, this hotel has satisfied my needs.
