The person behind the desk lied and took my money for the room and a 15 dollar extra fee for my girlfriend when booked says 2 traveller's not good

It was very clean and nice. No continental breakfast, nothing like that. Not a lot of coffee and coins to use the vending machine which is kind of archaic in this day and age. But overall it was pleasant.

Pros: The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. Free parking. 18 minute walk to the River Walk. I would definitely stay here again. Cons: Just for awareness, the area of the town is not the best, but there is nothing the hotel can do about this.

The lady at the front desk was very nice. Location was great. I recommend walking the short trip to the Riverwalk and utilize the free hotel parking. By the time you get to the river walk by car, find a parking spot and pay the minimum of $20, we could have arrived by walking and enjoyed ourselves instead of the chaos while finding parking. Rooms were very clean. For the price I wasn’t expecting quality, but we got it. It was overall a comfortable quiet stay.

Great location and walkable distance to St Paul Square and Riverwalk. The hotel is like new the rooms are nice, very clean and beds very comfortable. The front desk husband and wife who run it are very nice people. Just so others who wanna book, the parking lot is limited and so only one vehicle allowed per reservation/booking. But everything else was great and I enjoyed my stay.

Not a bad place but definitely not upscale. The hotel its self was in a great location and affordable for it being close to downtown (short 15 min walk). However, due to it being so close to a busy road, it was far from quiet. On the flip side, beds were comfortable and the room was a decent size.

Decent location (Next to the Alamodome) and free parking. Oddly configured room with opening from hot tub into the bathroom. So, limited privacy.

The employee at check-in was very friendly. The lobby is small. When we entered the room, we noticed that the ac controller on the wall was coming out. We took a picture and showed it to the employee. He said it was non-functional anyway so no problem. We just didn't want to be charged. The room was clean and updated and enough room for 2 people. It was on the top floor as requested. The frigerator, microwave, coffee maker, wi-fi, and air conditioning all worked great. Lighting was good. Water temperatures and pressure we're fine. The bed was ok, large, clean but firm. The pillows are too small. Parking can be limited. We were fine as we were there on a Thursday. It is less than a mile from the majestic theater. Felt very safe and was so quiet, despite the occasional truck and train horns, but nothing too extreme. We never actually saw or heard another guest. Recommend and will return.

I loved that this property was within walking distance to the Alamodome. It's a small hotel and was neat and clean. The room seemed much more humid than the outdoors, but the price was very affordable. The bed was comfortable for me, but a bit too firm for my husband. The gentleman running the hotel said his in-laws owned it and were out of town so he was taking care of the business while they were gone. He was super friendly. The parking is scare and tight.There is only one spot per room. If you own a large truck, beware that you'll have to do some maneuvering to get it in. It's more of an alley than a parking lot. Check-in might not be quick because the staff (at least while we were there) wear all the hats. You have to ring a bell to get in. The gentleman working during our stay actually called us to see when we were checking in. I thought he was just confirming that we were still coming because they were sold out, but he later told us the real reason he called was because he needed to leave the property to get a part for a toilet. We ended up arriving earlier than we'd told him we would and couldn't get in. Another guest ended up letting us in and we had to wait 20 minutes or so for the guy to return and give us our keys. It was a mild inconvenience, but could have been stressful if we were on a tight schedule. All in all, I would probably still stay there again just for the convenience and affordability.
