A private family run hotel and you could understand why it is so good. The staff were interested and very helpful, attentive at all times and creating a really friendly vibe. First time at the hotel and will recommend it !

Beautiful boutique hotel in a fabulous building. Staff were exceptionally polite, helpful & well trained. Food was excellent evening meal and breakfast. We used the Spa facilities which were as good as any we’ve been to. Will come back when working this way in the next few weeks.

Really lovely, helpful staff. A beautiful place to stay and the views are stunning. The garden is a relaxing place to sit out and enjoy either eating, having a drink or admiring the view! The food is good, breakfast is top notch. The Spa is one of the nicest I've been to and I've been to a fair few! The massage was also very good and worth every penny. I have had a thoroughly relaxing and delightful stay.

disappointing lunch ordered cheese baguette when it arrived I was told that there were no baguettes and was presented with 3 small rolls with a spoonful of grated cheese with pickle in each, 2 small pieces of tomato a few leaves with a few small pieces of cucumber with a few chips. Steve

We have stayed here for many years with our aunt and the quality of the food and service seems to get better every year - if that’s possible! This is a truly relaxing place to stay and a great location for exploring Dartmoor and South Devon. The bedrooms are large and the spa an absolute treat. We love it here and they do seem to have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable and special.

Another memorable stay at this lovely family run hotel in gorgeous Dartmoor countryside . Comfy bed , friendly service and a fabulous pool and spa - the lounges are perfect for a post dinner board game and night cap , another great stay for our 30 th anniversary - see you again and thanks

Such a lovely hotel in stunning surroundings. The food was great and really well priced. The gym and the spa facilities where excellent. The room was spotless and comfy. The best part of the stay was how amazing all the staff were. Will definitely visit again

We have had a lovely relaxing stay this weekend at the Ilsington hotel. Loved our room and bathroom, 'Ramshorn", very comfortable bed and a large quality bathroom. Dinner B&b and the food was great at both the bistro and the restaurant. As all the other reviews say....100% the staff are wonderful here, made us very much at home, just so friendly and helpful. So all in all we would love to return. The spa is great too, visited twice and used all the facilities. Thank you for a lovely stay.
