We stayed at The Avalon the night before our wedding with our best persons to be close to oir venue! We had a pleasant stay.

On the entry door you could actually see outside. Floors were dirty, no screens on the sliding glass door, air conditioner had been duck taped around it and was painted, no fan in the bathroom paint was chipped all around the building and a poor bed. Parking was limited. A complete waste of money.

Quaint and vintage hotel where you feel at home. Staff friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable but bathroom was small. Parking was tight and limited. Definitely enjoyed my stay!

The hotel itself was so cute and modern! The staff was so helpful and nice! We loved how walkable a lot of shopping and dining was, too!

We had one of the apar**ent style rooms with a mini kitchen. We enjoyed the historic property. the rooms are updated and clean. Great location and ability for downtown Saint Pete.

We stayed in 6 different hotels on a road trip we took up the west coast and down the east Florida coast. Although it wasn't the newest, the Avalon was our favorite. We stayed in one of their suites, which was under 170 a night for two nights. Although on the old side, our room was clean, clean. Great location, free wine on check in, friendly staff, and the sister property next door was an added bonus,with a pub, restaurant, and yummy bakery. Also a pool bar out back. And my wife and I agree, the bed was the most comfortable of all the places we stayed. If you don't mind a place that's a tad old, but very well kept up, check out the Avalon.

Walls are tin and it feels a bit tired, no desks in the rooms. Bed was very comfortable though and staff helpful

Amazing staff! Rooms are dark, gloomy with a window AC unit. No light in the closet and a bright white light above the bed that feels more appropriate for a prison than a hotel. Work in the lobby was noisy while trying to work. Just not what you'd expect for $200 a night. Solid deal if you can get for $100.
