Our visit started so well; arriving at such a beautiful location and quite quickly receiving our order of cocktails and tasty mis en bouches. Then sadly the next 2 1/2 hours unfolded quite torturously; only one dinner menu available with absolutely no choices, Nouvelle Cuisine style teeny tiny portions (some a lot tastier than others) and interminably long waits between the dishes arriving. There was another more expensive truffle themed menu put in front of us which my companion tried to secure for himself but for some mysterious reason he was refused. Our French wasn't strong enough to get to the bottom of the reason why but my guess is that it contained one course for 2 people. We'll never know. I didn't eat my pigeon as it didn't appeal and there was no alternative By the time dessert arrived my dinner companion had left the resturant to give the dog a comfort break after a little howl of boredom came from under the table, he (the dinner companion) was also sticking to the chair as was I and not even wanting the raspberry themed dish on offer. I stayed merely to be able to ask for the bill to arrive as quickly as possible which it did. I polished off both desserts before leaving which, in my defence, were 2 x raspberry icecream chocolates each served with tiny blobs of cream and half a grape. Delicious. So glad to get home despite feeling somewhat hungry and £270 euros down Inc. 4x cocktails and one bottle of excellent rose champagne. If you are teeny tiny model meat eating type people with bird like appetites and not 2 average built hungry diners who have been gardening all afternoon like us, you will love this restaurant.
