My experience turned out to be way better than what I expected from the reviews. The superior rooms under the roof are very comfortable, the bed of excellent quality. Everything was very clean and new and the amenities of good quality. The place feels very private, on top of a hill with private parking and easily accessible from the highway. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have seen in the country (excellent coffee quality, fresh orange juice, pastries and cold cuts/cheese) etc.. The setting is classy and the place must be spectacular in summer. Excellent value of money (at least in this season).

During our drive through France we travelled through St Etienne where we stayed at this Kyriad Hotel. It was ok - pleasant welcome from the receptionist and we were very glad to see our room as we had been driving all day. The room was quite small but clean and comfortable. The shower was ok but the towels a little small and thin. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed the evening we were there and so we ventured into the town. There were plenty of cafes to choose from but none of them did food. After a tootle around we managed to find a small cafe which served a good salad and a nice glass of red. I would like to recommend them but they are not on trip advisor. Coffee/Tea was available in the reception area of the hotel at all times. We had breakfast the following day - Continental and very nice with plenty to choose from.

Une fois de plus nous avons été pleinement satisfaits: gentillesse du personnel, chambre spacieuse et bien équipée (un petit bémol sans gravité pour l'applique au dessus du lit qui avait été démontée mais dont le support dépassait un peu trop près de nos têtes), petit déjeuner gargantuesque. Le parking gratuit et un vrai plus. L'ambiance art-déco est super sympa.

During our drive through France we travelled through St Etienne where we stayed at this Kyriad Hotel. It was ok - pleasant welcome from the receptionist and we were very glad to see our room as we had been driving all day. The room was quite small but clean and comfortable. The shower was ok but the towels a little small and thin. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed the evening we were there and so we ventured into the town. There were plenty of cafes to choose from but none of them did food. After a tootle around we managed to find a small cafe which served a good salad and a nice glass of red. I would like to recommend them but they are not on trip advisor. Coffee/Tea was available in the reception area of the hotel at all times. We had breakfast the following day - Continental and very nice with plenty to choose from.

The room is relatively spacious and the breakfast is relatively rich. Next to this hotel is the Ibis hotel, which is connected by an in-building passage between the two. In foreign countries, Novotel hotels are generally connected to Ibis. The two seem to be two brands under the same hotel group. The price of Ibis hotels is a grade lower than that of Novotel. There is a tram downstairs from the hotel, which can reach all parts of the city. Because the city is relatively small, it is actually more convenient to walk everywhere. Overall recommendation.

My experience turned out to be way better than what I expected from the reviews. The superior rooms under the roof are very comfortable, the bed of excellent quality. Everything was very clean and new and the amenities of good quality. The place feels very private, on top of a hill with private parking and easily accessible from the highway. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have seen in the country (excellent coffee quality, fresh orange juice, pastries and cold cuts/cheese) etc.. The setting is classy and the place must be spectacular in summer. Excellent value of money (at least in this season).
