Cardigan Bay Holiday Park

We booked this caravan park as we were going on a boat trip to see dolphins. On arrival we were met by a very friendly lady in reception who showed us where our caravan was situated. The caravan was immaculately clean. The site is a very quiet site. There are 2 small bars and a small amusement arcade. The pool was a highlight. We ate in the bar on our last night and the pizzas were fantastic. Bar prices were reasonable as well. All in all if you're looking for a nice quiet caravan park to explore west Wales you wont go far wron booking into this one

This is a very nice location, close to the beach. However the caravan which was meant to be a platinum was barely that!!! The caravan clearly hadn’t been levelled properly so every time one of us walked in the caravan it bounced and made us feel sick. I reported to it and they sent the assistant manager round whom appears to do everything around there and first words out of his mouth that someone had said it before that it bounced!!!! He messed around underneath but it carried on and was no better. They couldn’t move us anywhere else as there hasn’t got any other caravans to accommodate us. I have reported this to Hoseasons whom have at least apologised but the caravan park have basically said there were no issues calling me a liar basically. I do not post bad things when it’s someone’s business but when they do not want to own the fact they knew they’d put this caravan in and it wasn’t levelled properly and rather than apologise they tell hoseasons there was nothing wrong. Not the place I will ever return to so for anyone else please beware.

We went second weekend May 2024 - fantastic experience. Great value for money, service was excellent. Nicely sized holiday park on the smallish side so no crowds. Fantastic pool which our two 8 year olds loved ans only 10 min walk to the beach. Will definitely be back

beautiful park in a lovely area of West Wales. Very well maintained park and only ten minutes walk through woodland to Poppit Sands beach. Caravan was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a family weekend away. Friendly staff and a very nice club with bar and restaurant.

Stayed at Cardigan bay holiday park, second time we have been what a lovely place to stay 22-26th April 2024, we love it here and so does our little jack russell, just a short walk to poppit sands beach, caravan was spotless and the shower best ever in a caravan so powerful

Pretty little site. The caravan we were allocated was brand new and we were the first to stay in it. We used the site as a base for seeing the area. There are only the site facilities available, so club house bar and swimming pool, but no other outlets. The staff were helpful and friendly. We found the prices in the bar for food and drink expensive but it is a captive audience and we only used it once. Nothing close by within walking distance. There is an hotel further up the road but it is a hike. Nice few days.

Absolutely perfect holiday park in every way. Our caravan was beautiful and spotlessly clean, comfy beds and very spacious. The restaurant served lovely food and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. A special mention to the young bar man who was so lovely. Location was perfect as a short walk to a beautiful blue flag beach and close to plenty of places to visit l. We loved Cardigan and the local animal farm. Would highly recommend this park if you enjoy peace and quiet, perfect for us x

Wow! What a place! The caravan site was amazing, very clean with modern caravans in a peaceful part of Wales and only a short walk from the beautiful Poppit Sands Beach. All of the staff on site were welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great holiday. The food in the Dolphin Bar restaurant was so tasty with generous portions, we stuffed our faces with yummy food every day. It's just a shame it was only open from 4pm - I would have had all my meals there if I could have! I can't comment on the evening on site entertainment as we didn't stay for that but the swimming pool was great and the hot tub was even better. We also used the pool table and air hockey machine. On the whole a fabulous holiday and we will definitely stay there again.

Easy to find with great access to the large beach of Poppit Sands which has very fine sand and loads of dogs. The road in from Cardigan and St Dogmaels has a few narrow places so be prepared to reverse ant to tuck in. There’s no priority given to vehicles going uphill like there’s supposed to be - exactly the opposite in fact. The restaurant was reasonably priced and also prepared to serve a beef burger cooked rare which is usually an indicator of a place that prepares meat to order (but I don’t know for sure). The bar has a very small range of draught beers and a small range of bottled beers. Don’t know about wine, spirits etc. Didn’t make use of other on-site facilities like the pool, hot tub or laundrette. Car parking is quite limited and although the spaces are wide, the turning space is poor. Caravan was mostly ok with decent shower, central heating and combo boiler. Pathetic bottled gas oven. Bigger tv would have been nice but it worked well. Kitchen sink too small and tap spout too low to fill a 1 litre thermos flask. Storage space in the caravan was just about ok but drying space inside was very poor. There is absolutely no telephone signal on site on any network that we tried. A local at the nearby pub told us that Three was probably the best around the area but as the Yanks would say, YMMV. There was a signal on the beach but for me on O2, the area was pretty poor. The site internet was excellent for speed, about 75 Mbit/sec download and rather usually, 85 Mbit/sec upload. Might be using a Ubiquiti system. One or two completely innocent web sites didn’t load but not sure where the failure occurred. Dog friendly place and there’s plenty of them. One crapped right outside our caravan and the owner had only made a half-hearted attempt at a grab. Pretty foul with kids around. In all, a pretty good place but be prepared for poor phone connectivity in loads of places and narrow roads (but with good surfaces).
