The Castillo Real was a very nice hotel. The restaurant La Cocina was very good. The rooms were large. The location was very good-right across the bridge from St. Augustine. Rhonda at the front desk was very helpful. Parking was ample. The hotel is under renovations. We really didn't hear any noise. The one negative was room service was inconsistent. They came on a day we didn't expect it & didn't come on a day we were expecting. Other than that I would recommend the hotel highly.

This is a very nice hotel and we were very comfortable. The only problem was that it was under consturction, so the amenities were not available and the workers on the floor above us started banging at & am. I would highly recommend this hotel after they finish remodeling.

Stay for one night overall is a good option. Very nice old vintage room. A bit noise in the morning. Condition 4/5

It got cold that night it was down a 42 the emergency was the only thing that worked there was a paper plate with leftover food behind the TV stand The head construction going on I guess but it was a weekend so I didn't have to hear it ,but for what I paid it could have been cleaner, staff was friendly though also they charge my credit card three times for a total amount so it froze up my whole credit card balance for like a week I still have a $200 charge on it and I never bought anything just checked in it's like they ran it through a bunch of times I'll probably give them another shot or go to the other choices and get a breakfast at least

The only real negative was that the shower needs a deep cleaning with bleach to get rid of some mold in the caulk joints. The construction going on in the upper floors was not a problem.

Given room directly under construction. Was woke very early to pounding drilling and jack hammers. Also the ventilation is not good.

All very good,large clean very comfortable rooms. Works going on but would not notice if were not notified, a good sign!.
Excellent restaurant on site.
Only issue was extremely low water pressure in shower so took long time to wash! Not sure if related to building works. Reception apologised but little else they could say or do.

We were told by email that some amenities may not be available. We arrived and were told that work started early in the morning. They were not very specific about what to expect. We awoke before 8am to the sound of chiseling anf hammering of tile right above our head. It sounded like they were in our room. Thwy were nice about it anfmd gave us a little bit of a refund. They also moved us to a lower floor where the noise was much less. The original floor should never have been booked in the first place.
