We are a married couple in our early 70s. We just spend a wonderful early October stay for three nights at the Treadwell Inn in St Andrews, NB. The Inn is well situated on the end of the main road (Water Street) overlooking that end of the St. Andrews harbor. This location makes for easy walking to explore all that is St Andrews. Parking is available right on site. Our 3rd floor room (RM#6) was quite spacious, very comfortable and had a wonderful deck overlooking the beautiful harbor. We found the morning continental style breakfast to be quite good and tasty to start one’s day. Be mindful/respectful that this is a wonderful Inn in a well maintained older building, but there is no elevator and the first floor is the reception area and the Chandler Room restaurant. During our stay we were graciously welcomed by Cindy who answered our questions. We also had the opportunity to meet and chat with the friendly hands-on owners.

AMAZING, simply amazing. From our initial entry into The Treadwell and meeting representatives, through our view of our room, over drinks and wonderful food on the patio of the Chandler, through watching the sunset and the moon rise on the patio outside our room, through additional meals and drinks at the Chandler and our exit on Saturday morning, the stay, the food and beverage, and especially Christy and AJ Kennedy, owners, and Cindy, and the hospitality that we found were simply AMAZING.

The Inn definitely has charm but be ready to hear and smell the workings of the restaurant just below your room. The room we stayed in was lovely, nicely decorated, with a very small, noisy fan, bathroom. Breakfast is basic with yogurt, granola, croissants, and toast. Expensive for what you get but there are limited options in Saint Andrews.

Two of us stayed at the Inn and we had a wonderful experience. The staff were helpful and responsive. Questions were answered in a most friendly way and recommendations were on point. We ate in the dining room and had a terrific meal. five stars on all fronts. When I return to St. Andrews in the future I will not bother to look for a different place to stay - can’t improve on perfection. This is a true (small, independent) Inn located in a 200 year old building - set your expectations appropriately and you’ll love it too!

We stayed at the Treadwell Inn while visiting Canada from the US. What an amazing place. Christy, our hostess that greeted us was SO FRIENDLY & informative. She treated us like we were “friends” visiting for the weekend. Our room was immaculate & our view was amazing! A must stay if you’re visiting St. Andrews.

When we arrived, we were not made to feel welcome at all. Even though I booked in advance, the owner was upset, argued with me and assumed we were having a wedding which the restaurant couldn't accommodate. We were made to feel like a burden. I was unhappy and told the owner as much. I felt unwelcome and unhappy. Rather than trying to fix it she responded by telling us that she would compliment our drinks but that we should leave and find a different place to eat. She made faces behind my back in front of my entire family like a petulant child. What a humiliating experience. Fortunately we were able to make other arrangements at the Algonquin who treated us like absolute royalty from the first minute we arrived. We were going to spend thousands of dollars at this venue, and took our business elsewhere.

We had an amazing stay at the Treadwell, which is a quaint historic inn perfectly located in the heart of Saint Andrews. The room was beautifully appointed and felt like it fit the vibe of Saint Andrews perfectly. The bed was so comfortable that I wanted to take it home. We made great use of deck right off of our room to soak up the seaside views. What sets the Treadwell apart is definitely the service. Every staff member that we encountered was attentive, helpful, and focused on ensuring we were happy. We also loved the Chandler room, the restaurant on the main floor. We had a few meals in Saint Andrews and this was by far our favorite with flavorful dishes that were perfect for sharing, the scallops and oysters were fantastic. We left the Treadwell feeling like we had spent the weekend with our best friends, and will definitely be back.

We had the pleasure of staying here this past weekend – it was a one-of-a-kind experience! I have always loved staying in different Hotels and trying new chain locations, but the Treadwell Inn has changed my perception entirely and I believe more private locations are the best way to experience staying away from home. Check in experience was flawless and our room was immaculate. We stayed in #6 and friends of ours were in #5 so we had the whole top floor to ourselves. Just a few amenities to mention – complimentary locally made hand soap for the tub, books/board games/magazines for use, outside propane fireplace for use, complimentary breakfast, Starlink Internet & so much more! As other reviewers mentioned, beds were exceptionally comfortable! Honestly, there is nothing I can include that hasn’t already been mentioned in past reviews - I did make note of the 1 star review – it is easy to read that it speaks nothing about the location but more on the character of the individual. We are already planning our next trip back!

Great potential, just rushed....We were looking for a fun dining experience as we were staying town for 3 nights and this property wasn't open Monday or Tuesday, so Sunday it was. Food was quite good, but service was rushed, always seemed like they needed to turn the table one more time. Otherwise, a lovely evening.
