QUELLE HORREUR !!!!! Le mieux c'est de revoir le ménage complet de l'hôtel ainsi que la restauration qui est bien trop médiocre par rapport en plus au prix de 30 dollars canadiens par plat, des plats ni fait ni à faire de toute façon il n'y a pas de carte de menu ni de boisson à part de l'eau et du jus de bouleau , au niveau de la literie les draps étaient remplis de cheveux morts, dans les placards il y avait des chaussettes sales ainsi qu'au dessus du lit de mon fils ,nous avons dû quitter l'hôtel de toute urgence dès le soir même , en ce qui concerne le frigo nous avons eu le malheur de l'ouvrir une odeur nauséabonde nous a pris au nez moisi de partout et du sang séché au niveau du bas des bacs du frigo vraiment très dommage le cadre est magnifique mais franchement aller à l'auberge du dimanche

I do not normally submit reviews of hotels, but in this case, one is required. If you are looking for the perfect Saguenay experience, look no further than the Auberge de la Riviere in La Baie, Quebec. Situated directly on the river, away from the noise of Route 170, I was overwhelmed by the hospitality of the owners, the food, the views, the quiet. If you wish to enjoy the Saguenay as it was meant to be enjoyed, contact my good friend Alek at the Auberge de la Riviere Saguenay. You will not be disappointed. Paul M

We visited after the end of the tourist season. The Auberge itself is several miles beyond the town of La , Baie, in a lovely wooded area literally right on the bank of the fjord. As soon as we entered, there was a sense of both tranquility and beauty. The reception area opens onto a wide-windowed dining area looking directly onto the fjord. We ate there, the food was good, individually prepared, and the setting incomparable. Our room was bright, clean, and comfortable, with a view to the woods and fjord and a balcony (great for warmer weather). Service was personal and attentive. We couldn't have asked for a better sojourn.

There was no on there to meet us and I had trouble contacting him. On your confirmation email whrn I tried to message him, it said there was a problem with the site. Then I tried calling directly and got a voicemail. Other guests arrived and they had a different phone number for them and I finally reached him (Alex). He said he would be there in an hour so we had to wait. Oh, and no key for our door, hair dryer didn’t work, coffee pod and no cream nor sugar. Not a great experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

4 rooms booked, found without towels, or maximum 2 for two host, dust everywhere, electrical cable putted together at risk, residual of previous customers, the sheets of previous customers. In addition, in one room, a wc set unable to discard with urine water flowing on the floor. Bad smell of sewage.

This was a lovely place with a magnificent view of the fjord. The staff were super nice and accommodating. The breakfast at the Auberge was delicious too! We will definitely stay there again if we travel to that area.

Ahhhh.... a room with a spectacular view!! They serve breakfast and dinner, which I would recommend as the dining options are not great in Saguenay...and the food at Auberge de la Riviere Saguenay is particularly tasty! Hint: Get the crepes for breakfast. Host Alex was phenomenal..gave us great tips on the area (what to do and see and is bilingual for those of you who are not). Room was comfy, easy access by steps to beach at base of cliff. Get a room with a balcony, you can spend hours in relaxed mode watching the river and tides. Would love to see this place again in a winter season!

with a relaxed atmosphere and stunning views. Terrific breakfasts and warm, friendly staff. Great, comfortable bed and spacious room, although some minor routine maintenance was needed (floor drain cover, toilet handle). Not fancy, but clean and welcoming. The room we had is probably comfortable most of the year, but on warm sunny summer days, in spite of two pedestal fans and opening windows as far as possible the room stayed at 26-27C, which caused some discomfort and sleeping challenges. The room was maybe Fleur or Montagnes, it was at west end of the dernier étage. Another nice feature are some common lounges for relaxing or having an indoor pique-nique. Owner/managers also solicit guest feedback for property improvement suggestions. Host/manager Alex has great enthusiasm for the region, is fluently bi-lingual and offered some excellent suggestions for activities.
