Mercure Roma Centro Termini

Ein durchschnittliches Hotel in jeder Hinsicht auf 3-Stern-Niveau. Überwiegend sehr freundliches Personal. Frühstück mittelmässig- Kaffee gut. Lage zentral, aber Niemand in Rom kennt es. Nicht mal die Polizisten, die man 100m entfernt nach dem Weg fragt.

This Mercure hotel is very well positioned to visit Rome downtown and be connected using High Speed train i was there just one night for business, found a comfortable room recently renovated. Good stay

I checked out before didnt continue my staying with them. I booked a room that was 20mtr and they gave me a room i cant even walk in or no space to put my luggage. The smell of the room is like sewers or am setting in the underground sink. the room looks musty and the a/c is not working and they didnt fix it. When i requested my money back they told me no refund and this is a 20mtr room which that's a lie even after i saw them the room i booked they didn't confess that its they're mistake and they have to refund the money back.. Worst hotel in rome

Simple elegance. Great location. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Luxurious bathroom. Good Wi-Fi. Air con. Everything good you need for business, and Rome is on the door step. I didn’t eat, but the downstairs restaurant looked busy and plentiful at breakfast as I left.

Arrogant excuse of a man on reception. (Shift am Friday 6th oct) Male looked at you like you shouldn’t even be speaking to him. Never experienced this in my life. He should be fired. We politely asked after one night was it at all possible to move room as our room faced scaffolding & tarpaulin & bathroom was tiny. He just stared at his screen as if he hadn’t heard me. Then said go pack your case and leave it there if I can move you I will if not I won’t. Ofcourse we knew it would still be in the same room on return. He was just amusing himself and inconveniencing us. If you want aircon you need to beg ask on check in because they switch it on from here. Prepare to grovel for anything you want here at the Mecure. FYI need to pay at least €60 on leaving it’s a city tax. I could go on! There are other hotels use them I wish I’d looked at trip advisor. I was a hotel receptionist for 8 years & this guy needs training!

Hotel is brand new! Room was comfy and spacious. Our estimated arrival time was around 10am. I emailed the hotel prior to our arrival to check the fees for an early check in. They advised no fee would be charged if the room was ready. On arrival we were advised the hotel was fully booked. However the check in staff then mentioned that he could have one room ready at an additional 30 euros cash only. He showed us the ATM right outside the hotel. Very dodgy considering we had checked prior and no fee would be charged if the room was ready earlier.

As someone with experience in customer service, I understand the significance of prioritizing customers' experiences. It has taught me the importance of ensuring customers feel secure, safe, cared for and valued by providing exceptional service. I am a loyal gold member of the al Accor membership program and have considered it my second home during my visits. Although I enjoy spreading positive feedback when I have fantastic experiences, my most recent stay did not meet my expectations. My wife and I had a strong preference for Accor hotels when choosing accommodations for our honeymoon because of my loyalty and positive past experiences with the brand, we again chose Accor. Unfortunately, our recent stay at Mercure Roma Centro Termini was quite disappointing. To put it quite bluntly, it was deplorable, We were not treated in line with the Accor values or basic decency or respect. While the rooms and amenities were acceptable, we felt uneasy and even threatened due to the behaviour of the staff. The check-in personnel were impolite, unhelpful, and lacked basic customer service skills. Witnessing a heated argument between an employee and another guest during both check-in and check-out only added to our discomfort. Overall, this was the worst hotel experience we have ever had globally. We arrived at the hotel at around 11am and politely requested an early check in which is one of the gold tier benefits. We also know and acknowledge that this is subject to availability. We were responded with the most unfriendly of responses by the check in agent, there was no welcome back, no appreciation for loyalty. No smile no friendliness. We were told our bags could be held. However this was not a secure space they were just placed in the main area. This area could be accessed by anyone from the public. Additionally, a guest staying there warned us to be mindful of your belongings as the staff don’t care and things go missing. This is also supported by reviews on trip advisor. As we were sitting waiting working out what to do the check in staff were looking us up and down and could be seen speaking about us negatively to each other in Italian. This made us feel unvalued and unwelcome, on edge and unsafe. I felt the need to secure my belongings in my room due to safety concerns. We were seriously concerned for our safety and the ramifications of speaking up and providing feedback. The two men appeared to be mocking us. The staff persistently attempted to upsell by sending me numerous emails urging me to upgrade with additional purchases. While one email was appreciated, the excessive advertising may be seen as harassment. I received confirmation via email that the room had been paid for, but an unauthorized charge of $206.12 was added without my consent and noticed on the evening of check-in. The staff was unable to explain this unauthorized charge or provide an invoice during checkout, which goes against the booking conditions. During my stay at this hote

Don't stay here. NO AIRCO I booked it because Rome can get hot, and I was willing to pay extra to get a hotel with air conditioning. However, with close to 40 degrees outside, there was no air conditioning on 3 nights out of 4. Apparently, at least three upper floors at the hotel didn't have air conditioning. I was offered one night at a different room with airco but it was so noisy, right on the street, that it was impossible to sleep for that reason (I'm quite sure I saw it adv. Now, one would expect that the hotel would do something to mitigate this. No, they don't. They said they can't even offer fans. And my room got sun the whole day, so it was very hot. At some point on Sunday, I was told that the air conditioning is not working, but as it was not an emergency, the workmen only will come on Monday. For me, it definitely was an emergency because I needed to sleep at night. And for a hotel that's so expensive, one would expect that it sees no airco during hot days as an emergency. But no. Later on, it became apparent that they had no idea what was wrong because whilst they were "waiting for a spare part" to fix the problem, the airco sometimes started working still. Anyway, out of the planned blissful holiday with family, I spent hours at the front desk trying to find solutions. Some staff were great. Some had very poor people and English skills and yelled at customers (Michael). Eventually, I received a 20% discount on my stay - absolutely not enough to compensate for all the stress and lost time over these days. If I had wanted to stay without airco, I could have paid 70% less somewhere else. SHOWER IN THE BEDROOM (not bathroom) For this price, you'd expect the shower to be in the bathroom. It's not. It's IN the bedroom. The sink and toilet are in the bathroom. If you need any privacy with showering, good luck. POOR BREAKFAST The breakfast is so basic, cheap bread rolls and some ham+cheese. Very poor selection. Croissants were good. NO ROOM SERVICE There is no room service, although it's advertised (even in the booklet in the room). I overheard that there might be room service for a couple of days a week when the restaurant downstairs is open. However, when we arrived, the restaurant was open, but we were told we can't order in the room but can only eat at the restaurant. Skip it.
