Hotel Cinecittà

No-frills threestar. Outside the city centre but very good transport connections: Cinecittà metro station is a five minutes walk away and Anagnina regional bus station about ten minutes. Hotel is in a 1980s concrete block. Supermarket next door. Clean rooms with air condition, (empty) fridge, balcony and large bathroom. King size Bed with decent matress. Shower cubicle too small. Shower head fixed to the wall. Free wifi works great in the lobby and halfway up the stairs but weak signal in room. Buffet breakfast well above the usual Italian 'one coffee plus one biscuit-standard'. Bias on chocolate croissants and the likes. Exceptionally welcoming and helpful reception staff. Receptionist literally went out of her way to be helpful. She went outside with me to give me directions to Anagnina bus station. Overall very good value. Would come back.

Rooms could be a lot better, they are bare minimum. Breakfast is very poor, first you can't choose what you'll be eating and second you just get one "anorexic" plate. This hotel should be definitely avoided.

This was part of a 6 nations rugby package Italy vs England, through an events organiser. We knew nothing about the hotel apart from the fact that it was supposed to be 3* . When we arrived we were absolutely astounded by how tatty the rooms were, the lack of hot water, the broken furniture, the one clothes hanger in the wardrobe (which was falling apart), the stains in the shower and toilet ...Get the picture? Then we looked at the electrics. Wall sockets were loose with exposed wires. I note the comment from a previous person about hostels. I have stayed in far better hostels than this but we were being charged 3* hotel prices. The area it is in is pretty run down. It is a long way from the centre of Rome (penultimate stop on the metro) and there is no way we would or could have eaten in central Rome in the evening to return to this place. We were a group of 4 and have all travelled extensively and been in very simple accommodation in developing or remote areas.. None of us have any problems with that - the issue here was that it was advertised as a 3* hotel and we were paying 3* prices . We were being ripped off. We found a 4* hotel in central Rome that still had 2 rooms left, advertised at only a bit more than the rooms in this awful place. So we left. When we told the concierge, he was so unconcerned that I thought he had not understood, so I repeated, making it clear that we were not coming back. His only comment was - "leave the keys on the counter"! I suppose he is used to people leaving! We are currently in dispute with the travel company. We really enjoyed the rest of the weekend and had a great stay in the Hotel Metropole near Termini, which is very central in Rome.

I agree with all negative comments being recently posted. Let me bring some of the positive points: fridge in the room; towels are exchanged every day; a supermarket about 20m away offers big variety of cheese, ham, prosciutto and good wine at a very reasonable price. As an alternative of the breakfast one can buy there fruits (opening hours from 8:30am to 8pm).

I booked there because the hotel is located very close to the meeting location so that I could use my time to prepare and avoid transfer during rush hour. My choice couldn't be worse. The overall aspect of the building is depressing. Because of lack of renovations and cheap furniture. The temperature was too high, but this happens often in hotels. Breakfast room is unpleasant and the food offering poor. I must admit that everything was working (tv, hair dryer, frigo, lights, warm water...) and I had an impression of cleanliness and staff courteous, nevertheless I rate terrible because the overall experience is negative. The hotel doesn't deserve 3 stars.

Bardzo dziekujemy za mily pobyt. Bylismy z wycieczka w tym Hotelu i moge szczerze polecic. Pokoje czysciutkie i gotowe na czas. Jedzonko dobre ale minus restauracji to niezbyt mili kelnerzy niestety (moim zdaniem to nie rodowici Wlosi, a Rumunia albo Bangladesz? Troszke jest to zniechecajace :( jednak hotel nadrabia recepcja (najbardziej polecam Pania z recepcji ktora jest rano- jest przemila osoba ktora we wszystkim pomoze a to bardzo wazne bylo dla nas bedac w obcym kraju). Pozdrawiamy serdecznie i bedac w Rzymie napewno odwiedzimy ten Hotel ahoy! :)

Oprócz tego, że hotel znajduje się blisko stacji metra więcej plusów nie da się dostrzec. Śniadania okropne. Hotel znajduje się nieopodal stacji metra jednak przejście w nocy od stacji do hotelu jest niebezpieczne ze względu na bardzo nieciekawą okolicę. My codziennie musieliśmy przyśpieszać kroku przed natarczywym bezdomnym, który każdej nocy nas zaczepiał. Pokoje słabo wygłuszone, brudne a internet nie działa :(

Squallido, sporco. Non c’è neanche un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo perché nonostante questo albergo non sia adatto nemmeno ai topi, si paga anche tantissimo! La colazione si serve nel bar giù, dando ai proprietari una card per dimostrare che sei cliente dell’hotel, così da non pagare (forse questa è l’unica nota positiva: i ragazzi del bar sono gentili e disponibili.) Il problema serio, poi, è la zona: giù al bar ho assistito a ben due risse nel breve arco di tre giorni. Altamente sconsigliato a tutti.
