Hotel Royal Bissolati

Nunzia, de vrouw aan de balie gedurende de dag, was zo aardig en behulpzaam! Ze was geweldig. De grootste klacht die we hadden was de temperatuur van de kamer. Toen we voor het eerst in de kamer aankwamen, was het extreem warm. De lucht zou niet beginnen en we hebben er meer dan 4 keer naar gevraagd. De vrouw 's avonds deed iets en het begon eindelijk!! We lieten onze ramen overdag openstaan en het hielp niet. En we eindigden met muggen. Eek!! Ook het plafond in de badkamer was aan het afbladderen en zag eruit alsof het schimmel had! Kamer was een beetje klein, maar het bed was comfortabel! Ontbijt was GEWELDIG!!! We vonden het fantastisch!!

Snel en eenvoudig inchecken. Ontbijt was lekker. Ze hadden er geen probleem mee om onze tassen vast te houden terwijl we een paar uur vertrokken.

Mooi, gerenoveerd hotel op een goede locatie. De superior kamers zijn ruim en mooi ingericht. Hoewel ik moet zeggen dat ik liever een deur tussen de badkamer en de rest van de kamer had gehad, zodat ik meer privacy had terwijl ik.. eh.. een bevalling aan het doen was 😅 het kan chique en modern zijn om geen deur te hebben , maar het schreeuwt niet romantisch, weet je? Ook - in onze kamer moeten ze iets aan de doucheafvoer doen, aangezien het water nu in de tegenovergestelde richting lekt en het slaapkamergedeelte in. Het wordt duur om te renoveren als dit zo doorgaat. Maar afgezien van die dingen, hielden we van ons verblijf in dit hotel. Vriendelijk personeel, goed ontbijt, fris en schoon hotel met een goede locatie. Zou hier waarschijnlijk weer boeken :)

BOEK DIT HOTEL NIET!!!! Ik en mijn familie hebben BED BUG Bites in dit hotel! Ook verschrikkelijk ontbijt en douchedeuren te klein overstromingen de hele kamer tijdens het douchen! Toen we klaagden bij de receptiemanager Amelia, begon ze ons te schreeuwen en te beledigen en sloot mijn gast op in de lobby! Ik vraag een terugbetaling voor dit verblijf, ze hebben de 80e verjaardag van mijn moeder verpest en we hebben 3 kamers voor een week! De slechtste service en de slechtste plek om te verblijven, tenzij je van Bed Big Bites HORRIFIC houdt!

About a ten minute walk from everything basically, this hotel sits in a great Neighbourhood about 100m from the US embassy with plenty going on. About 10 min walk from Termini. Staff are great but not too many of them so run with minimal staff, lovely rooftop bar that was only open to residents, breakfast was good but the hot stuff wasn’t great. Room was a corner one with sort of shower room Suite which was unusual and room was well appointed. Bar is in reception but functional. All in all a great stay and would use again as reasonable enough and location great.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Wonderful breakfast included in stay. Outstanding rooftop patio. Friendly staff. Missed the five star mark with broken AC - awoke in sweat. Requested repair from overnight staff person who didn’t know how to fix. Also the controls for shower, blinds, thermostat were overly complicated and didn’t have any instructions. It would be helpful for guests to have printed instructions for non standard controls.

It was a nice week stay. Great location close to piazza Barberini and villa Borghese and all spots in general. Pharmacy and corner shops are also nearby. Super helpful staff. Cleaning and changing every day. Air conditioning. Not very diverse breakfast but I’m ok with it😉

I was surprised to read the negative reviews about the Royal Bissolati, as our experience was 100% positive. The hotel was large enough to have nice facilities but small enough to have a high level of service. My wife and I appreciated the stylish modern room furnishings. The room was spacious enough, and we had zero issues with noise, as the window treatments did their job perfectly. The bathroom was nice and water pressure good. The AC worked well as expected. The lobby is pleasant and airy, and the breakfast area just as hoped. The location of the hotel is excellent, and we walked easily to all sites in the centro. We dined nearby and there is plenty of shopping within a few blocks. We even walked to the hotel from the Termini station, after we saw the interminable taxi line there. We would recommend the Bissolati to anyone seeking a lovely alternative to the larger and more impersonal hotels near the via Veneto. We stayed there in early July.

I booked a stay at Hotel Royal Bissolati for 3 nights from June 22 to June 25. I had booked a Deluxe room with Terrace at EUR 449 per night (EUR 1347 total).The room's AC (room no 309) was not working, so I was shifted to a lower category at the same rate. My request for revision to lower rate as per room category was denied. Thereafter, I requested to check out after 1 nights stay with no extra charges for the other 2 nights as the booked room was not up to the mark and even the replacement room was poor. Initially the receptionist Maria agreed to do so but then after 5 minutes charged by card for all the 3 nights. Then to my absolute shock, she unethically said that the charge was automatic when in fact I saw her process it right in front of my eyes. She blatantly told me that pay full amount and stay in lower category room (room no 306) or you can leave but we won't refund. I am even embarrassed to mention her racial comment that "you people from India are used to heat, why you need AC?". Such mistreatment, insult and abuse of customer is shocking to see in today's day and age. I was visiting Italy with my wife for a nice vacation and this is not the way to treat a well paying guest. I have traveled 30+ countries and even stayed in USA and UK for my education, but never come across such unfair and rude treatment at any hotel. Even against my polite requests, she kept shouting and many times in Italian which is utterly disrespect. Even in the replacement room, I couldn't sleep till 2am on the first night. I had to wake up at 7am for my booked tour but was unable to sleep. They apparently control the AC from the reception and I requested them multiple times to check the temperature. The front desk guy apparently changed it from 32 C to 22 C but still no change as the room remains boiling hot. Nightmare of an experience without utter harassment and disregard of customer welfare. I would give them 0 stars if Google reviews had that option. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had and, most importantly, I want other prospective customers to know all this while considering this hotel.
