Ilyssion Beach Resort

Firstly, the hotel is in a great setting, albeit fairly isolated (approx 2km from Pefkos, with no real footpaths beside the road). The bus stop to Pefkos/Lindos (€1.8pp each way)/Rhodes Town (€6pp each way) is right outside. Bus prefers cash. On arrival we had to pay a tourist tax of €22 per room for the week, and put down a deposit of €30 per room, all in cash, so make sure you have enough €s with you. Rooms we had were good, each with a sea view balcony, A/C (no additional charge) and fridge. Rooms were cleaned each day. Food is basic, and food times can be very busy at times, and could do with more big family tables. Hot breakfast options include frankfurter type sausage pieces, mushrooms, tomatoes, and eggs (boiled and scrambled). Cereals, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cold buffet, and hot and cold drinks are also available. A new volume toaster is really needed as the one that was there only toasts 1 side... very slowly. Lunch and dinner are variations of the same meat (chicken pieces/drummers and pork) and fish types for that day. The daily meat 'specia'l usually runs out about half way through service. A varying potato dish is also served (mash or wedges or chips), basic mimi pizza squares, and limited veg options. The salad bar is nice. Very basic and limited pudding selection. Alcoholic drinks are very weak, which is refreshing through the day, but you may want to include your own duty free for the evening. The pools are very nice, with ample access to free sun loungers. There is access directly into the Med for some sea swimming. Evening entertainment is very limited (only 2 of the 7 nights we were there), so evenings may be a bit boring for kids or couples. The hotel staff are lovely, and work very hard. The evening bar only had 1 staff on, which meant queues for drinks. Bar closes at 22:45. There is a handy mini shop in the foyer.

Hotel Ilyssion - jedna wielka iluzja. Przyjeżdżając do hotelu z rodziną nie nastawialiśmy się na luksus - hotel 3 gwiazdki, 4 lokalne. Niestety mimo tego, hotel nie spełnił naszych najmniejszych oczekiwań. Iluzją zdają się być przede wszystkim zdjęcia, które widnieją na stronie hotelu. Podkoloryzowane, zretuszowane, wykonane przez naprawdę doskonałego fotografa, mające się nijak do rzeczywistego stanu rzeczy. Zacznę może od lokalizacji - jedynego dobrego aspektu - to właśnie za nią przyznaję moją jedną gwiazdkę. Cała wyspa jest naprawdę przepiękna a hotel zlokalizowany jest nad samym morzem. 2 minuty wystarczą aby z pokoju dostać się na „plażę” (bo tej właściwie nie ma, sztuczna plaża, którą opisuje hotel to betonowe nabrzeże wysłane żwirem i petami, z niebezpiecznym zejściem do morza). Mimo wszystko, miejsce w którym zlokalizowany jest hotel jest przepiękne i nie ma do czego się przyczepić. Hotel, inaczej rzecz ujmując, ma ogromny potencjał, do którego wykorzystania niestety jeszcze daleko. Największym zdziwieniem są dla mnie opinie innych, widniejące pod opisem biura Rainbow. 5 opinii na krzyż, same bardzo dobre. Mam wrażenie, że Rainbow nie jest tutaj z nami szczery i podejrzewam, że ukrywa te negatywne, na swoją korzyść. Ludzie są różni, stąd różne opinie, ale brak tej różnorodności pod opiniami hotelu i ich liczba są dla mnie lekko podejrzane. Zalecam tu kierować się opiniami dostępnymi na TripAdvisor, szczególnie tymi najnowszymi. Co więcej, dodam, że NIKT z Polaków, z którymi rozmawialiśmy nie był zadowolony z hotelu, twierdząc, że jest to jeden wielkie scam. Jedna para nawet zrezygnowała z hotelu od razu po przyjeździe, znajdując sobie miejsce do spania na własną rękę. Mam wrażenie, że hotel znalazł się w ofercie Rainbow przez pomyłkę. Jeśli chodzi o bezpieczeństwo : brak oświetlenia wzdłuż drogi do pokoju (po zmroku trzeba chodzić z latarką), uszkodzone zejście do morza (pan naprawiał kładąc drewniane belki dwa razy, jednak już kolejnego dnia „pomost” był znowu w rozsypce, nie nadający się do użytku i stanowiący zagrożenie dla życia), zardzewiałe pręty wystające z betonowego zejścia nad morze, generalnie dramat. W recepcji zero klimy. W skrócie, wchodząc do hotelu po powrocie z miasta temperatura wyższa niż na zewnątrz. W restauracji piekło. Warto podkreślić, że hotel oszczędza dosłownie na wszystkim. Jeśli chodzi o estetykę hotelu, a raczej jej brak, oprócz braku oświetlenia terenu dodam też, że szambo wylewają w środku dnia (spływa ono pod leżakami przy sztucznej plaży, do morza) a przed naszym pokojem znajduje się ogród z bakłażanami i cebulą. Jak już mowa o warzywach, zahaczę o aspekt jedzenia. Mały wybór, zero owoców (od czasu do czasu podawany jedynie arbuz), pustki na stołówce (jedzenie dokładane tylko wtedy, kiedy misy wyczyszczone są do zera i obsłudze opłaca się dołożyć), parówki pod różną postacią serwowane o każdej porze dnia, jedzenie plastikowe, słodka jajecznica z proszku, brak różnorodności - codziennie to samo. Hotel's location between Pefki and Lardos village is simply perfect. The quick access to the beach, well-equipped rooms, and multiple swimming pools made our stay unforgettable. The four-kilometer distance to Lardos village and the 800 meters to Pefki were very convenient for exploring.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ilyssion. The superior rooms with sea views were comfortable, and the on-site amenities, including a tennis court and pool table, kept us entertained. The hotel's main bar and pool bar were great places to unwind with a drink.

Je me suis fait voler mon parfum qui était encore dans son emballage ainsi que mon chargeur de téléphone par l’homme de ménage … à la réception la gérante avec ses enfants qui pleurent tout le temps m’a envoyer balader en disant va à la police… C’est la barman qui a « résolu le problème » Et qui a pu retrouvé juste mon chargeur La gérante qui est revenue vers nous nous a inventé une histoire à dormir debout et pour le parfum aucune nouvelle Sur le séjour Dès l’arrivé très déçu l’Accueille était d’un désagréable, ils nous prennent nos passeports donc aucun papier d’identité quand on sort de l’hôtel pour les excursions. Nous demande une causions de 30€ pour la télécommande de la tv et de la Clim Photo de leur site internet sont mensongères la piscine d’eau mer très sale, la moitié des parasols sont casés. La plateforme pour accéder à la mer est dans un très mauvais état et pas du tout conforme. De même pour les escaliers… Ce n’est pas plage sable/galet mais plutôt plage rocheuse Aucun réseau dans l’hôtel voir très peu, et nous avons eu aucun wifi Aucune animation l’hôtel est très ennuyeux Niveau de la propreté ça reste à voir, le pied du lit est dégradé il a été réparé par un cailloux La restaurant si on peut appeler ça comme cela, 40 tables de 2/3 personnes Nous devons attendre que les gens finissent de manger pour pouvoir s’asseoir à une table Beaucoup de mouches sur les tables à coter de la fenêtre Le choix des plats est très limités pendant une semaine nous avons mangé pâtes pas cuite, riz, pizza surgelé, Aucun plat local, pour les desserts on a 1 fruits en conserve voir aucun, Pas de yaourt, Pas de fruit sec de tout le séjour Et concernant le goûter il est inexistant Le petit magasin qui est dans le hall est très cher Hôtel 4 étoiles qui en vaut même pas 2 …

Hotel Ilyssion is an ideal choice for families. The children's swimming pool, play area, and the fun club ensured our kids had a blast. The friendly staff and multiple amenities made our stay truly enjoyable. Plus, the close proximity to Lindos and other nearby villages was convenient.

We had an incredible stay at Hotel Ilyssion. The proximity to the sea and the majority of rooms offering a sea view were amazing. The four swimming pools, including the one with seawater, provided a perfect place to relax. We loved the children's play area, and the well-equipped rooms were comfortable. Overall, a delightful experience.

Exuded cleanliness and maintained a pristine a**osphere throughout. From the lobby to the rooms, every corner was spotless, reflecting the high standards of hygiene. The reception staff were courteous and efficient, ensuring a smooth check-in and providing useful information. A clean and welcoming environment right from the moment I arrived, making for a pleasant stay.
