Bij aankomst een persoonlijk onthaal met rondleiding in 'the village'. Het is een prachtige locatie met adembenemend uitzicht en straalt overal rust en authenticiteit uit. Het ontbijt is heel uitgebreid en super lekker, alsook de verfijnde gerechten voor het diner. Men maakt vooral gebruik van streekproducten en eigen kweek. Dus supervers allemaal. Het zwembad beschikt over ligstoelen op verschillende plekken zodat je ook privacy en mooie uitzichten over de vallei kan opzoeken. Er is ook een bar aanwezig aan het zwembad. De kamers zijn prachtig en beschikken over een terras met eigen ligstoelen en een tafel met stoelen. 'The village' ligt iets meer afgelegen maar je kan ook op een paar minuutjes rijden bij de lokale bevolking gaan eten. Voor uitstappen moet je grotere afstanden afleggen. Het Arkadi klooster is zeker de moeite waard om een bezoek te brengen. Men heeft ook een eigen wandeling (+/- 8 km) uitgestippeld die begint aan het klooster (men brengt je tot daar met de auto) en de wandeling eindigt terug bij je verblijf.

Prachtige locatie, elk hoekje even mooi, geweldig goed verzorgd, zeer proper, mooie kamers, fijn zwembad, ontbijt heerlijk, personeel zeer vriendelijk, restaurant subliem. Irina, kelner , is een toppertje! Een aanrader voor wie van rust en schoonheid houdt!

Nergens anders zo lekker gegeten. Fantastisch mooie en schone locatie. De bediening in één woord “geweldig!” Ga zo door! Zodra wij weer naar Kreta ( rethymnon) gaan zullen we daar zeker weer gaan eten. Wil, Jill, Ruud en Anja.

Everything was of the highest quality : location, breakfast, dinner, room, staff... And Brigitte gave us great suggestions for trips. One can feel that all the staff likes to work there, and this creates a superbe atmosphere of well-being.

I've probably stayed in over 200 hotels and without a doubt, Kapsaliana Village is among the top 3, maybe the best. The location is serene and relaxing, the facilities are amazing but the stand-out is the staff, they are committed, engaged and work hard to ensure guests have a great time. The amenities are top notch and a special mention must be made of the restaurant, which serves Cretan specialties and is nothing short of exceptional. We also met the family that owns the hotel and has poured their heart and soul into this property for over 4 decades, they have created a hotel that can only be created by someone who has deep commitment and passion. The hotel is tucked in the uplands of Rethymno prefecture, about 20-30 minutes from Rethymno, an hour from Heraklion and 1-2 hours from major beaches like Elafonisi, Falasarna, Preveli etc. Having a rental car made it much easier to use the hotel as a base to explore the island. The best thing I can say about the hotel is that l already wish I was back there

Tout simplement et en un mot, unique! Merveilleux endroit, personnel charmant, propreté exemplaire, art culinaire au restaurant ainsi que tant d'autres activitées possible sur place. Nous sommes heureux que cet hôtel existe et y reviendrons, coup sûr!

Gorgeous property about 20-30 minutes from Rethymno. Renovated village into boutique hotel with a range of rooms. Our room was not large or ‘luxurious’ but very comfortable. Meals were some of the best we had in Crete and Greece. Very peaceful flower filled grounds, nice pool, and views of hills and to the sea. Recommend!

one of those places you find every once in a while where you want to stay forever. a real treat. authentic. carefully put together with consideration and love. great staff. great food. great vibe. perfectly chill and unpretentious. cant recommend it highly enough. in fact i didnt really want to review it because i might encourage too many others to go and make it harder for myself to book next time! go if you can and stay for at least 3 nights so you can start to unwind. not a place to rush. 5/5

Fantastic hospitality, wine tasting was a highlight of our trip. The hotel is beautiful and very sympathetically renovated. Very peaceful and relaxing.
