Raja Ampat Dive Lodge

We verbleven 10 nachten in dit resort voordat we in een ander resort verbleven, waardoor ik een objectieve opmerking kan maken. We hadden kamer 101 aan het einde van het resort, wat perfect was. De kamer is groot met een zithoek en een mooi terras. De badkamer is echter een beetje gedateerd. We waardeerden de airconditioning. De maaltijden waren in buffetvorm met voldoende keuze en we konden op het terras eten. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en efficiënt. Struiken met of zonder bloemen tussen de huizen, talrijke ligstoelen aanwezig. We hebben verschillende uitstapjes gemaakt met een kajak, onder meer naar het naburige dorp. Het enige verbeterpunt is de organisatie van boottochten voor snorkelaars, die niet altijd eenvoudig op te zetten is. Wij zouden zeker terug kunnen komen.

We had an amazing time at RADL. Despite the lodge being on an island with little resources, we had all we needed and were most comfortable. A/C and a hot shower and comfy bed and more importantly the staff making our stay so enjoyable. Tony the Manager, leads by example. The staff are so lovely, welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the food selection. The location is out of this world. The diving simply some of the best. A shout to all staff, who made our trip the best. Our boat crew, Johni, Fardy and Aldres we thank you, for looking after us so well. Highly recommend the spa treatments. It's a big team to thank, everything was seamless from arriving at Sarong Airport. We shall be back for a month next time ; )

I can't speak highly enough and describe how surreal & satisfying this experience was at the Raja Ampat Dive Lodge. The staff is extraordinarily accommodating. Its a long process to reach the Dive Lodge destination, but they will meet you at the airport and escort you from Sorong Airport to the lodge on Mansuar Island. They kindly carried all my luggage and provided me with all the boat transportation. The travel itinerary seems intimidating, but the Dive Lodge staff makes it easy and less complicated as they escort you and they deal with all the logistics. I commend Joseph and Tobias for making the whole orientation extremely thorough and welcoming. My cabin at the lodge was pleasant, comfy and temperature controlled. One of the biggest highlights was the FOOD! All the meals are buffets filled with quality food. This was truly restaurant quality meals. Kudos to the chefs for their brilliant proficiency in the kitchen. The scuba diving was my best dive experience ever. I have dived in 5 other regions around the world, but this underwater scenery tops all the charts. Plus, I had an exceptional dive master and boat crew. Diego helped me enjoy nearly 20 hours of diving. He ensured that I got the best underwater experience. It was surreal when he instructed me on feeding a banana to a bat fish deep underwater. The boat crew of Nando and Nadus were extremely friendly and accommodating. They always did the heavy lifting of my equipment. This was SO MUCH appreciated because I struggle with chronic back injuries. Peres is a very talented underwater video cameraman. He will use his GoPro and capture amazing video clips of you diving. My experience of staying at Raja Ampat dive lodge was simply fantastic: the location and the house reef are marvellous, and the lodges are very well built, facing the beach; the whole atmosphere is just lovely. Best part of this lodge are the staff!!. My appreciation goes to all from Mr. Tony, the manager to Tobias, Giuseppe, the tour guide Diego, and the pilot and assistants of the boat Hassan and Nadus. People at the restaurant and kitchen dished some tasty food (Thank you).Everyone was so friendly (very characteristic, Indonesian) and so much fun to interact with. Highly recommended

One of the most idyllic tropical settings I’ve ever seen. Comfortable but not luxurious rooms equipped with air conditioning and bar fridge. Commanding ocean views. Magnificent sandy beach bordering a coral lagoon with abundant marine life ie reef sharks, walking sharks, barracuda, lion fish etc. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent food at all meals. The snorkelling trips to other dive spots were breathtaking particularly Piaynemo. Highly recommend this accommodation.

12 days in Raja Ampat Islands was as close to paradise as you can get. We stayed at the Raja Ampat Dive Lodge which is trying to give the experience of resort life. The resort lacks some amenities but makes up for it with lovely and friendly people. Unfortunately, it is not a distinction for fellow divers and has very few guests. We had the resort all to ourselves, but this is where it lacks its otherwise island charm. It’s in-between budget and high-end and can’t find its place. It calls itself a dive lodge but lacks qualified staff and instructors and has very limited gear. The facilities are starting to get old and very used and should probably cater more to budget travelling. I cannot recommend that you do your diving license here because all theories have moved to the Internet and there is not a stable or fast Internet so you can take your exam. My son was through it and could not finish the open-water certificate. For a closing remark don't let the season scar you we were in Raja Ampat in June and July all days with a mirror-like ocean and visibility underwater up to 50 meters and can not recommend this part of Indonesia enough. Please visit this unique place and enjoy this and is fantastic people.
