Palazzo Leopoldo is een perfecte uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan de Chianti streek. We hebben hier 4 nachten geslapen. Personeel was erg vriendelijk, kamers schoon, prima ontbijt! Voor het gebruik van de jacuzzi en of het zwembad moest je een tijdslot reserveren. Bij de jacuzzi was dit voor 1 uur en 45 minuten en het binnenzwembad kon voor 45 minuten. Dit was wel jammer omdat je dan niet zomaar eventjes er gebruik van kan maken. Echter wel logisch in tijden van Corona. We hebben in het hotel een kookles gedaan, een echte aanrader. We hadden een privé kookles en heerlijk gegeten. Ook maakte we een tour op een Vespa, een van de leukste activiteiten die we gedaan hebben. Al met al een aanrader om hier te verblijven!

Het hotel is gevestigd in een pand uit de 15-16e eeuw in het centrum (voetgangersgebied van Radda). Wij hadden een prachtig grote kamer ensuite, prachtig ingericht (inclusief kitchenette) met een ruime moderne badkamer. De service aan de receptie is professioneel. Het ontbijt is prima met een ruime keuze. Een tophotel. Het hotel heeft 2 panden (wij logeerden in het hoofdpand met een terras). Het zwembad is gelegen bij het andere pand; wil je gebruik maken van het zwembad moet je reserveren met een tijdslot (i.v.m. coronamaatregelen). Via het hotel hadden wij een wijnproeverij gereserveerd alleen is het jammer dat het hotel niet op de hoogte was dat als je wilde lunchen, bij de reservering moest melden. Overdag is parkeren wel een klein probleem; overdag is het druk met toerisme en betaald parkeren. Wij vonden in de nabijheid van het kerkhof een gratis parkeerplaats bij een appartementencomplex. Witte belijning betekent gratis parkeren. Deze parkeerplaats ligt op ongeveer 500 meter van het hotel. Het hotel is een goed uitvalsbasis voor verkenning van Chianti / wijnstreek.

We spent three weeks Italy in April, 2024. Too much of it was spent waiting in lines in Florence which is already teeming with Americans. Instead I recommend you spend 5 days in the small villages of Tuscany. Radda was our favorite and the Palazzo Leopoldo Dimura (hotel) was the best. Lovely restaurant and spa, first rate staff and breathtaking views from room 38, the only one with a terrace

Radda is a very quaint village just what you expect from Tuscany. The hotel has friendly staff and rustic rooms. Breakfast is good and the terrace has lovely views over the countryside. There is no bar but you can order small bottles with a wine card.

The hotel it’s a great value centrally located. Their spa is not included and you have to pay a discounted rate for guests to enjoy the sauna etc. ( I think it should be included )
A small ( but pricey ) misunderstanding happened where they provided a card where you can taste wines from an automatic machine. The attendant said: “here is your card with $150 of credit to enjoy our wines”
At check out we were charged for the wine we had. And they told us that it was not a credit but just a card to consume and to keep track of what you drink.
Other than that a great option while staying in Tuscany.

It was off season ego I I really enjoyed the town is beautiful. My fav in Chianti. Loved the spa. The room etc. hope yo visit again

A beautiful location, with a comfortable room and great shower. The breakfast buffet was a good array of foods and included gluten free items. The staff were kind and went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of and happy. I would stay here again.

The hotel has numerous separate buildings in Radda. We had a suite which also included Spa faculties access which was very nice. Although, I would not rate the gym in the hotel very high. We had a a great room with a wonderful view. The buffet breakfasts were very good with a large selection.

The hotel is beautiful and I know they have better rooms as friends of ours received a fully air conditioned room for same rate. Our AC pumped out warm air. There was no window in the room. Only a sky light. Asked staff to look at issue and they never did. Would not recommend!
