Dit hotel heeft twee aparte locaties. Espadilla Playa en Gardena. Wij logeerden in de Gardena. Het zijn allemaal dezelfde kamers. Perfect schoon, maar wel wat klein. Een kamer met een klein tweepersoonsbed en een groot eenpersoons bed. Verschillende soorten kussens. Goede airco en ook een ventilator. Het ontbijt was in het restaurant aan de overkant van de weg. Wij zijn in meerdere hotels geweest, maar hier was absoluut het beste ontbijt! En dan natuurlijk ‘s avonds dineren bij Morpho’s Er is een ruime parkeerplaats. Een klein zwembad met mooie bedjes erom heen. Zittend bij het zwembad zie je aapjes voorbij slingeren en er zitten in de tuin wat hagedissen. Verder mooie bloemen en planten. Op nog geen tien minuten lopen ben je in Parce Nacional Manuel Antonio

Espadilla Gardens is een comfortabel hotel op loopafstand van het strand en Park Manuel Antonio. Mooi zwembad met daarom heen 'privé cabines' met verstelbare bedden. Iedere kamer heeft stoelen of een zitje, van waaruit je de apen en vogels kunt bewonderen die volop aanwezig zijn in de tuin van het hotel. Elke morgen een uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet met voor ieder wat wils. Een speciaal woord van dank aan Yafet, de receptionist, die er voor zorgde dat we een kamer kregen die iets verder van de weg lag. Dat voelde voor ons als een upgrade en heeft ons verblijf erg prettig gemaakt.

We checked out. The reviews were excellent. We didn’t know what to expect. What a wonderful surprise. The place is pristine. It is clean. It follows the covid protocols. The menu is specific. We tasted patacones, fried fish and curry shrimps. Everything was just amazing… the service is just amazing. The food is just whoa.. the chef is incredible.. we decided to stay for coffee and a margarita… the best we have tasted..the cost value is excellent… Will go back any time…we highly recommend this restaurant

Quiet, clean, steps to the beach and to the national park. Delicious breakfast, lovely pool and grounds - what a nice way to start our vacation. When it rained we spent time in the comfortable palapas by the pool and watched the iguanas. The staff were kind and patient with our muy mal español. :-)

The best surprise was the monkeys hanging out in the trees outside of our door. We sat on the patio and watched them eat and play. Perfect quiet hotel. Clean and neat. Close to the national park and the beach. Friendly helpful staff. Free breakfast but couldn't get a dinner reservation as we arrived in the late afternoon.

If you like to be in an hotel, fells like family, you will be well served. Very close to the beach, rooms are clean, the service from the reception are amazing- the best is Yafit ! Food is very good from the restaurant, you must try the pizza!

Two hotels actually, with Playa Espadilla across the street. Not as well-adorned as their sister hotel but more than adequate. Can use the more up-scale facilities and pool across the street, where meals are also served. The kicker, though, was that when I mentioned that it was my daughter's 15th birthday, the hotel went all out. We got back to the room during the day, and the bed was decorated with petals, heart-shaped towel sculptures, and the most incredible personalized flower arrangement-bouquet I have ever seen. At dinner, there was a specially-decorated table for us and a musician; after dinner, the whole staff came to sing Happy Birthday and offered Ruby a delicious tres leche cake. We were truly moved. With the beach and the ocean and that special treatment, my daughter said that not only was it the best birthday of her life, but also the best day, period. Will definitely return to the hotel and the amazingly beautiful land and people of Costa Rica. Pura vida!

This hotel is very well located 300 mt from the National Park entrance and the beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is good and is served in the other hotel almost across the street. It has a nice pool and is surrounded by wildlife. Here in the gardens we saw monkeys, iguanas, toucans, koatis and many different birds. The staff is extremely attentive. I recommend this hotel

This is the 6th time we've stayed here and like all our visits our stay was great! The hotel has made some improvements since our last visit - much nicer bathrooms/shower and new paint in the rooms. Also some lovely changes to the pool area - it was beautiful before but now looks like you are at a resort. The walk to the beach takes about 2 minutes, might even be less it is that close. The hotel is also a close walk to many restaurants and to the national park entrance. Every time it's been clean and the staff have been wonderful. The breakfast that is included is lovely. Absolutely recommend staying here!
