Canto del Sol Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive

Ive been staying at the hotel for years as I pass through P.V. On business a few times a year and really enjoy the staff who work there, especially the bellboys and all the staff at the main restaurant, the property is becoming quite dated but they seem to maintain it, I wish they would spend some money on the exercise gym, it is very subpar ! The rooms are big and spacious and the beds are really comfortable, to me the bed comfort is a deal maker, all in all value for $ it is very good, food in the main restaurant is always good, lots of variety, and finally the location is excellent especially if you’re like me and like to venture out!

Older resort but clean and central to PV. It is in almost like a u-shape so fairly close to everything, but there are little twists and turns to find certain things (second pool, restaurants, tennis courts). Staff at desk friendly but seemed guarded with any requests asked (they didn’t seem overly bothered to help out). Remainder of staff (cleaners, servers, bartenders, etc) were extremely nice and helped out as much as they could. Food ok but buffet was small, repetitive and not overly different day after day. In less than one week, we were tired of it. Three restaurants on site (Mexican, Italian, and Oriental) were however very good. Was told main pool was heated. If that was the case, answers why it felt like skin burned when entering…wasn't refreshing at all when most of our two week stay it was over 30C. Aside from the usual pool activities, the nightly entertainment was very limited and done by 10ish at night. We however enjoyed the karaoke, singers, sax player, comedian / magician, etc. They were talented…made it feel like a piano bar when you could relax at night for a night cap. However there was no disco or night music after the talent “show” but several local nightspots off the resort. Felt very safe walking around PV later in day. I recommend the place as an affordable option for an all inclusive as we did, but only if you plan on going out to explore PV on your own, else you will tire quickly (we were there for 2 weeks).

Amazing stay!! Beautiful view from the room. Wonderful service! The only thing was kidsclub wasnt open that long each day-which would be great to be out of the sun during the hot day. Delicious food!

I was a solo traveller that went to Mexico Easter week for some R&R… overall hotel is decent.. I wished that my hotel room had a coffee maker to enjoy while getting ready in the morning

Room had a horrible hard bed! My view was awful blocked by a palm tree! There was no spa. And the gym was awful old and very very small! Asked for two double beds never did get them so had to share with son ! Low budget hotel you get what you pay for food was ok some staff was great others not so great ! If your travelling with kids on a lower budget this might be good but for comfort and relaxing not so much

I had never been to an all inclusive where you were not allowed to drink by the pool! We had to purchase cups in order to have our drinks by the pool. The young bartender at the pool is very very rude. I did make a complain. The resort itself was nice, near the Malecon, and the staff outside the main entrance were very friendly. Also, checkout was very unorganized! They took us to a back room, were training someone new, so it took extra long to be able to checkout, plus that staff was not friendly either. The restaurant inside the resort were very nice, as well as the staff. We were able to eat at the Mexican and Italian restaurant. Delicious food!

Canto is an older resort. Check in process could be better. Rooms were clean and staff were friendly! Our AC was under repair and ran the whole time we were there, so our room was cold, which wasn’t an issue. The food was delicious with great variety. There were many activities scheduled each day and the pool entertainment was really fun! Beds were hard, but they furnished a foam mattress that helped a lot. Overall a great visit, I would book this all inclusive resort again.

You get what you pay for! We chose this hotel for the price given the good reviews and it was a great decision! My kids loved the pool and enjoyed the activities and shows. We ate really well, good service. The room was old but clean, same as everything else on this property.

We noticed the service and cleanliness of the room had declined substantially from last year. Its a shame as we enjoyed ourselves so much last year. We didn't have towels or soap in our room, items were not restocked when the room was cleaned, shower did not drain and was not fixed (we had to unclog it ourselves), and our room was full of small flies for the duration of the stay. The food remained the same and was good for an all inclusive. Pool area and public restrooms were clean.
