The food was great, but the customer service was even better. I ate at the restaurant 2 days in a row and I was fortunate to have both Angel (bartender) and Miguel (server). We talked about all sorts of things: tunnels, volcanoes, churches, basketball, football, and of course Philosophy. Next time I’m in Puebla, I’ll be staying here.

Loved the environment, setting, location and the food. The room was spacious, had a balcony and offered a quiet sanctuary. The adjacent large garden offered a more ample quiet space to read or listen to music. It was a few blocks from the artist center and a few more to the center plaza. We truly enjoyed breakfast and dinner especially the service and margaritas! The dinner setting is more on the romantic side:)

The place is beautiful, there is no place to put your clothes in the room. Staff is very friendly. I arrived early so the room wasnt ready which is totally understandable, they told me to coma back in 3 hours. Which i did and the room was still not ready for another 40 minutes. There was a leak in the bathroom which I reported adn they came to fix when I was out all day, but when I returned there was NO cold water whatsoever, only scalding hot.

I would not recommend staying or hosting an event at this hotel. Although the service is good, the general state and management of the hotel is quite poor. On top, there is a cheap bar across the street blasting music until late every single day. 100% stay in CasaReyna just a few blocks away instead.

When unsure, we usually go for a Marriott property. First time that we have had regrets. An interesting structure though not great on cool evenings. First floor bedroom that was adequate. Ground floor had an interesting uneven stone? floor but take care, bits missing so holes where you can give yourself an injury. We spent two nights. The first morning we found it was a buffet breakfast which included the local wildlife. I became very sick that day, and as dinner had been at the hotel, one assumes that it was the buffet. How they left the food uncovered and made no attempt to keep the various birds out of it I do not understand. I spent around 20 hours in bed. The second night there were apparently three rooms occupied, including the one above our room. The sound proofing if any ineffective, I could hear the tv programs all night. I complained to the reception, received a reply that did not take the issues seriously and had to complain through Marriott. Curiously the breakfast on the second morning was served from the kitchen. Sorry, but we had a dreadful stay and the offer to repeat it was inappropriate. We found a much better and much more reasonable accomodation on our second visit to Puebla.

It is located very close to el centro historico, as well as lots of good restaurants. Good restaurants include high end, fancy restaurants as well as good local casual restaurants. Rooms are very comfortable and include high end amenities. The service is good, but not quite as good as when I used to go before the pandemic. Breakfast was very good, and evening drinks by the fire pit were great.

The design is amazing, but rather the kind I would enjoy better in pretty magazine photos. The glass stairway creates an Escher world, but makes stepping off the elevator a vertigo challenge and the stairs demand real courage. The only non glass stairs seem steep and are not quite safe because they are a bit wet from a leaking design fountain running through them. The drastically uneven tiles are a fake years old marketplace, but this is not for someone unsteady on their feet. Great are the sitting areas with the cozy and beautiful fires. The room itself is quite comfortable, the glass partition dangerous (one does not see it well in the rather dim romantic lighting, so I used towels to prevent accidents). Breakfast very tasty (a la carte), and staff all massively nice. Pool area beautiful but it is open to nature. I would recommend this place for the design oriented young - there is much to feast the eyes and it is in many ways an architect imposing a very specific experience. This is absolutely not a place for older people or anyone with even the slightest physical frailty or challenge.

yes, too many issues. Noisy. Safety concerns between lightening with see-through glass stairs and uneven ground floor slates. Straw that brook the back for me was being charged about $9/bottle of water in the room yet there was not a sign stating the cost - complained when we checked out and the clerk didn't have the authority to adjust the bill. She said she'd talk to the manager and revert. I later sent an email to the hotel and have not had the courtesy of a response. Bummer as friendly staff and good location.

The rooms and the hotel are nice with rooms overlooking a lush garden. Problem is there is a club directly next to the hotel and a bar across the garden. The noise is so loud from concerts going on until 2am at least that the glass doors in my room were shaking. I warn anyone that this property is not suitable to stay in.
