The room was pretty small but efficient but my big complaint were the large number of teeny ants..I first noticed them on the floor by the bed then again in the corner of the bathroom floor by the shower. Kind of grossed me out but other than that a fine stay."

Door also was without sound protection - 1* star amenities. 2* star for service because accommodation doesn’t have 24 reception, no breakfast. 2* star for location because entrance from narrow street, no view from windows. 4* star fro cleanliness - a new renovated accommodation but it’s not a hotel. No bar/cafe, no lobby. Good location. Nice historical town."

"The hotel is located in the old town, so if you're arriving by car, be prepared – the roads are extremely narrow, to the point where it feels like you might hit someone. Also, I wouldn't recommend booking two beds as they are very narrow single beds! The breakfast was decent, and the old town isn't very big, so everything is within walking distance."

"What can I say. From the moment I booked I had great communication with Celeste the owner. Instructions to get into the property with our car were excellent, and get into our 2 rooms excellent as well. The BB is just fantastic. You can walk to Lucca without need to take the car and suffer. You can get parking outside ( there were spots available for free) but we decided to park in their garage. Breakfast was great too. Property is super clean, tidy and it feels like home. If Lucca is your destination THIS should be the place you stay."

"Mother-daughter weekend trip. Beautiful small boutique hotel with clean modern furnishings nd wonderful staff. Room was spacious with high quality toiletries. Free water in the room was missed but there was a pitcher with water and free cantucci cookies at all times. Breakfast was wonderful and location inside the city wall was perfect."

"This hotel is fantastic if you're going to Viareggio. Awesome beach and pool across the street, all the waterside shops and restaurants steps away. Very helpful staff, solid breakfast buffet. The location is perfect and could not be improved. You can walk to the train station for a day-trip to Pisa (as we did) or anywhere else. Numerous restaurants, stunning beach and pool club that the hotel can arrange for you a day at a time. Highly, highly recommend if you're looking for an Italian Riviera beach vacation."

"We kunnen enkel op een totaal positieve manier terug kijken op ons verblijf in Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte. Vanaf het moment van aankomst tot het uitchecken was het 100 % genieten. De vriendelijkheid van het personeel en de gedienstigheid gaven ons een familiaal gevoel. Wij kunnen dit hotel op alle vlak aanprijzen. Het ontbijt is een moeilijke opdracht om keuze te maken uit het groot aanbod. Onze waardering gaat zeker naar de 2 sterrenchef Giuseppe Mancino en zijn team die elke ochtend persoonlijk aanwezig is bij het ontbijt en er borg voor staat dat de dag op een onvergetelijke manier van start gaat. Hier is niets te kort maar eerder te veel van het lekkere."

"Absoluut een vijf-sterrenhotel . Suite was zeer groot bed goddelijke badkamer eerste klasse . Dienst hier is echt vijf sterren . Verbleef een dag bij het zwembad en we werden verpest door zeer opmerkelijke personeel . Eten waren topklasse wijn zeer goed . Hotel is aan de landzijde dus de auto moet het is zeer rustige locatie."

"Mijn vrouw, onze universiteitsdochter, en ik woonde in het Augustus Resort tijdens het weekend van de Oester. We waren zo blij om tijd te besteden langs de Italiaanse kust en waren blij om dit juweel te ontdekken in de charmerende stad van Forte dei Marmi. Onze verblijf was echt geweldig. De twee slaapkamers, twee badkamers appartement was ruime en perfect geschikt voor de drie van ons. Elke morgen biedt het buffet ontbijt een breed scala aan heerlijke opties om de dag te beginnen. Het zachte zandstrand en ontspannende cabines creëerden een ideale retraite, en het strand lunch restaurant serveerde ongelooflijk eten met een perfecte service. Het personeel was uitzonderlijk, met bijzondere dank aan Nina, de concierge, die ons bij verschillende gelegenheden hielp. We vonden het gezelschap van het shuttle en van de wandeling in de stad, en van de parken en langs de boarding. Het hotel is ook een geweldige basis voor het verkennen van Cinque Terre. Op onze terugreis naar Florence, stoppen we met klimmen op de Leaning Tower of Pisajust een 45-minute rijden van het resort. Onze drie nachten verblijf vloog door, en we wilden alleen maar dat het langer was. Het is een echt speciale plek, en we willen graag terug. Veel dank aan het hele personeel dat het voelt als een huis weg van huis."

Het restaurant bevindt zich in een aparte glazen constructie naast het hoofdgebouw. We hebben er twee avonden gegeten en het eten was van goede kwaliteit. Het enige minpuntje voor gasten is de vrij steile trap, eerst naar de voordeur en dan naar de slaapkamers. Voor ons was dit geen probleem, maar voor minder mobiele mensen misschien wel."

"This place was surprisingly nice in a really cool town that wasn't really on my radar. It's a short distance to the sights and some really good restaurants. It was a little challenging to check-in since the street doesn't have parking and it's hard to find, but ring the bell or connect earlier with the owner and it'll be smooth I'm sure. The parking on site was nice because it's protected from the street, but like all of Europe, pricey. There is also a breakfast option, but didn't spend the money to find out the quality. Rooms are of a really good size, great air conditioner, and bed is comfortable."

"Location: excellent Staff: competent Breakfast: choices from many cultures available Bed: very uncomfortable, not just firm it felt like a futon pad on the floor with insufficient padding. Noise: outside well blocked, inside disturbingly bad. I understand old buildings' quirks, and sought the charm of a locally owned lodging. I accept hearing toilet flushing as part of the package, but hearing my neighbors pee, or even sigh, is more than I bargained for. Instructions: no clue for working the temp control, no prices provided for items in the room fridge. Don't miss beautiful Lucca, but I slept poorly and wouldn't go back to the Hotel La Luna. NOTE - I was in the annex, the main building may be different."
