The front desk staff, perhaps due to inexperience, asked me to pay the full room amount even though I had already paid in full through Ctrip, with only a few euros for city tax remaining. After showing them my Ctrip booking, the issue was quickly resolved."

"Had a 2 night stay after meeting friends who were already checked in. Despite arriving at around midnight, staff were very pleasant and easy check in. Spacious room, comfortable and clean. There was a function going on but i wasnt disturbed by any noise. Comfortable beds. As a vegan, the staff arranged for 'vegan' breakfast. This was quite unusual - one of options was a cold rice dish. Not to my tastes but i appreciated that there was something on the menu that wasnt just fruit. Lots of other options for breakfast. Beautiful grounds and an outdoor pool which we made use of on our final morning after checkout. Theres a changing area and showers downstairs but this area is 'under' the pool and quite isolated so a little unsettling if you are alone down there. The hotel is quite out of the way which was fine for us as we had a car but may be difficult if you are not driving, theres also an underground car park. We were able to get to Como quite easily. Overall, i would recommend as a less expensive option from the hussle and bussle, a lovely stay and would return."

"Beautifully restored castle on amazing grounds. Immaculately maintained both inside and out. A great experience for our family of 5. Host was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and quite adequate. Host even provided coffee outside of normal breakfast times for an early airport run (to Bergamo). Evening meal on the balcony was a lovely experience. The homemade lasagna was very tasty. Pizza slice was also tasty but at €25 with desert slightly expensive. All in all I would highly recommend and will hopefully return some time in the future. "

Tijdens het zomerseizoen worden evenementen georganiseerd waaraan u kunt deelnemen ook door het eten, eten of eten. Het hotel is prachtig: een mix van moderne luxe en historische details, een rustige en rustige woning! In sommige kamers zijn er grote en comfortabele watermassage vaten voor paren. Een magische plek om alles te ontdekken en te leven, zowel voor gastronomische ervaringen als voor ontspanning en welzijn!"

"BEFORE you book , ask owners if construction / building work opposite has been completed. Train station is being upgraded this means it’s very noisy from heavy machinery from about 07:00 till quite late at night. We were only informed by owners , once we had booked and fully paid, which felt perhaps they should let people know BEFORE they book, fortunately we were only there for 2 nights. The noise from the trains and cars on road outside can clearly be heard , especially as balcony door doesn’t close."

"What a great space and wonderful people. We had a large family group to attend a wedding and had a relaxing experience. The rooftop pool, couches, and tables were a great place to hang out. Same in the spa with a sauna and jacuzzi. #1 for me and most of the family is the great food we had both breakfast and dinners. All the staff do an amazing job and kitchen is the behind the scene stars. So many good memories and new dining experiences that have probably spoiled me for the rest of my life. Already miss so much about the mornings there and dinners with everyone together. Great place. "

"I had an absolutely lovely stay and would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting Lake Como. From the very beginning, communication was excellent. The hosts were proactive in reaching out before my arrival, letting me know I could check in anytime and that I could contact them whenever needed. This made the whole experience very reassuring, especially as a solo traveller. Upon arrival, the couple were incredibly kind and even helped me with my luggage, which I truly appreciated. Lucia, in particular, was amazing. She took the time to walk me through what to see and do around Lake Como in great detail. You can really feel her passion and pride for the area, which made the experience even more special. Breakfast was one of the highlights of my stay. It felt very intimate, and I enjoyed chatting with the hostess each morning. The savoury breakfast was authentic and fresh, and something I could never find back home. It was such a treat. The room was cleaned daily, and I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay throughout. What stood out even more was the level of care. When I injured my ankle during the trip, Lucia kindly provided a cold pack and offered additional help if needed. That level of thoughtfulness really meant a lot. The location is also perfect. It is directly opposite the station, less than a 5-minute walk, and very convenient for getting to Varenna and other nearby areas. Despite being so close, I did not hear any train noise at all during my stay. Overall, this was a truly wonderful experience. Warm hospitality, great location, and thoughtful touches throughout. I would absolutely stay here again."

"Budget hotel, bed is good. Room is small, there is no lift so you need to carry all luggage up the stairs. Advertises on site parking but it is street parking, if you can find it. The included breakfast is minimal. There is a great restaurant next door, you are right on the river’s edge. If I had other choices I would have stayed somewhere else."

"Wij verbleven hier 4 dagen .... alles is pico bello in orde... je bent helemaal vrij in deze familiekamer / studio... Alles is heel nieuw en perfect uitgerust en heel erg proper! Mooie douche, goed bed, een keukentje, een terras.... Heel rustig gelegen.... een goeie uitvalsbasis om 's avonds nog eens naar het mooie Varenna te gaan met de auto. Vanuit Lierna ben je beperkter que afreistijden met de veerboot. Maar het is er ook veel rustiger tov de andere drukbevolkte stadjes. Een echt aanrader! Naast het verblijf is er ook een restaurant... super lekker!!! Zowel kamers als restaurant is van dezelfde familie!"
