Evalena Beach Hotel

Нормальная 4ка, до пляжа мин 5-7, номера не большие, завтрак и ужин не плохой. Отдельное спасибо персоналу, Светлане, Юлии и Мирославе, всегда помогали с вопросами. И отдельное спасибо уборщице Катерине, никогда не заходила в номер когда включали режим «не беспокоить», в отличии от других! Мое пожелание отелю, сделайте что-то с теми кто встречает гостей на завтраке и ужине, мне кажется им надо работать на другой должности, так как всегда были с угрюмыми лицами:)

Such a disappointment, arrived just after 2pm, checked in ok, reception staff efficient. Asked if we had missed lunch (we had) but were told snacks were available at the pool bar. Went up to our sea view rooms but in the whole of the hotel our rooms were the only ones to have trees mostly blocking our sea view. Quick unpack and down to the pool bar for drinks and snacks, sadly the snacks were a choice of a prepacked salad, a prepacked sandwich,a prepacked bowl of fruits, this was everyday throughout our stay, none of it looked appetising and it just sat in a cooler all day. The pool area was overcrowded, not enough loungers to go round and despite 'the rules' many had towels on them way before 08.30am the allowed time. No entry into the pool until 10.00am, and everyone had to get out by 6.00pm (the lifeguards hours) which in principle is sensible but the lifeguard sat at the back of the area and didn't seem to be aware of pool activity anyway. Dinner unfortunately wasn't very hot, there was variety in the mains and salads but the desserts consisted of mousses and a couple of small cakes, there was some cheeses and salami but for the first few days no crackers. The waiting staff were efficient, not particularly friendly other than the maitre'd who was welcoming and helpful. There was absolutely nothing for children to do and the 'entertainment' very much for adults, a violinist at the pool,a pianist in the bar etc. As for the bar, one of the staff would be our main reason for not returning to this hotel. Hostile and rude he managed to make us feel totally unwelcome, pouring drinks just seemed like too much trouble. Other guests were also commenting about this man particularly as he seemed to look down on the AI guests. We have stayed in Protaras several times and should we return we would opt for tried and tested rather than break the budget on the unknown.

I have found this hotel to be excellent, staff very friendly and attentive. Especially the spa staff, I had three deep tissue massages with jacuzzi and sauna included. Very reasonably priced and excellent massage. The food was lovely and well presented. There was always a good selection to choose from, and the service staff were very attentive. One thing I would definitely recommend is their sweet selections that can vary from day to day. Only had two that I was not keen on. The room was very good and the facilities were very good, the only gripe I had was very little on the tv that was in English. Would benefit from having a service such as YouTube available on tv to use to help pass any time needed. Sunbeds availability was good, although some guests still reserved the sunbeds, although this was not allowed as per hotel policy. Shop on site with a good selection of goods for sale although older lady who was serving on the day I went was quite snappy as i asked about a price that i did not see as price was quite feint, i found this was a bit off putting. This hotel is in an excellent location on the beach front, and you can walk and explore the coas, going leftbor right and a lot of restaurants, shops, and massage tents all the way down the *****. And a bonus is plenty of welcome conveniences available if required. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and will be going back.

Can't fault this hotel. Second time coming here at this time of year,second time we've had a free upgrade to a sea view suite. It's perfectly placed by the beach and coastal path. It's nice and quiet this time of year,just how we like it. Breakfast and dinner are buffet style with loads to choose from. Different themed nights for dinner.

Clean room, close to shops&restaurants (walkable), good breakfast, right beside the beach and boat tours go from just a 1-2min walk away. In hotel shop for snacks/drinks/souvenirs. Cocktails really good and great value. Small bar and restaurant looking over sea was perfect in the evening. Would definitely stay here again.

Me and my friends have just come home from this hotel, a six day holiday. The hotel was in an excellent location for shops bars and restaurants of which there was a fantastic choice, something for everyone and all reasonably priced. The hotel was on the beach so great views of the sea and sandy beach. The hotel was spotlessly clean, light and airy with a large outside terrace where you could have breakfast. Our room was good but in the bathroom there was not a great deal of shelving or hooks to put toiletries on or to hang up towels, no extractor fan which meant it turned the bathroom into sauna. Beds were comfy. However the tea and coffee wasn't always replenished and we had to ask for more milk and sugar several times. Unfortunately we found the majority of the staff, surly and unhelpful and on our first evening after arriving on a late flight we ordered drinks from the bar. Suddenly the lights went out and everyone was sat in the dark. The bar closes at 1.00 am but it would have been courteous for the barman to advise us of this instead of just going off. Everything seemed to be an effort, it takes nothing to be pleasant and smile. On leaving not one member of staff asked if everything had been OK and had we enjoyed our holiday. Whilst we had a fab holiday the hotel felt very flat with no atmosphere. Protaras is a great resort, well worth visiting.

Another wonderful stay at our 2nd home in Cyprus. The Evalena remains a delight after nearly 20 years. Our next stay, already booked, will see that reached. We never tire of staying at this wonderful hotel, which always goes out of it's way to provide a delightful holiday. A number of reviews draw attention to the pool size, and sunbed provision. This is solely down to British holiday makers ignoring the rules. Maybe next season, the hotel will start removing those put down from 6am to 8.30? I would certainly support removal of towels from beds not used for a maximum of 2 hours? There is, of course, the alternative of the beautiful beaches just 5 minutes walk from the hotel? Friendly staff, great food and service. Special note how fabulous the maids were! Not only were the rooms very clean but all the ***** areas were too. Hotel has a spa and gym. Restaurant caters for gluten free and has freshly made products every day. Great location allows you to walk along sea front plus a 20 minute walk to Pernera.
