Michelangelo Grand Hotel

Ik zat gewoon op het bed voordat ik naar bed ging, en het bed stortte in. Midden in de nacht hielp niemand om het te repareren en de veiligheid te bevestigen. Ze plaatsten gewoon het bedbord. Ik heb 's nachts erg ongemakkelijk geslapen. Het hotel verontschuldigde zich niet en bracht geen uitcheckkosten in rekening omdat ik moe was van de reis. We hadden echt geen zin in al het gedoe, dus zijn we niet overgestapt naar een ander hotel. Het kwam ook omdat Ctrip ons een make-upmaaltijd, waardoor we ons beter voelden.

Goed hotel, maar zeer slechte organisatie zonder parkeermogelijkheid en geen restaurant

We waren op reis met een kind van zeven, dus boekten we een driepersoonskamer. Vergeleken met ons reisschema in Wenen was dit de goedkoopste accommodatie inclusief ontbijt, maar de kamer was ruim en schoon en de mensen waren erg vriendelijk. Het was een huurauto, maar ik was erg tevreden over het gemak van het gebruik van een parkeerreserveringsapp vlakbij het plein. Als ik ooit nog eens terugkom naar Praag, wil ik er zeker weer gebruik van maken.

I can probably say that overall stay in the hotel was good except the last night that ruined our feeling a bit. Location was great. Around 20mins walk to the main train station, close to most of old town touristic place, all walkable distance. The receptionist was welcoming and the hotel was clean. I booked the hotel specifically for the beer spa and the lady there explained things thoroughly so the start of the trip was great. On the 2nd day after a long & tired day, we got back to the hotel for the beer spa we booked. When we got to our room, the toilet was making a noise and it didn’t flush. We called the reception straight away as our beer spa starts in like 15mins. The gentleman came up to check and said that it is not possible to fix. We were rushing as we have to go down and of course we have to use toilet so there’s no negotiation except changing the room. The noise of water running was unbearable so we wouldn’t even be able to sleep anyways. We got a call offering to change the room but it was smaller. Quite small i have to say. They mentioned there’s no other room available, 100% booked. We are really unhappy about this but didn’t really have a choice. (What can we do when they say it is all booked and no other room available and our spa booking is coming up.) We just agreed on changing.. It kinda end our trip unhappily hence the lower rate on the service part. I am sure I would have given 4 on the service if this didn’t happen.

Very good breakfast. Room at very neat and tidy. Good front desk service.But no view from the hotel room.

Staff helpful with maps public transport and areas of interest. Rooms were more than adequate clean & comfortable great selection of toiletries.

Great location, friendly service and wonderful breakfast!

We were a group of 6 people and booked 3 rooms, I have requested separate beds for all the rooms and our requests were noted and rooms were prepared as we wanted when we arrived. The hotel is located in a quite neighborhood and very close to a shopping mall, once passing through the mall, you will be right at a more busy area with lots of restaurants, shops and public transportation. The hotel location is excellent, we can go to all the famous sights around 10-15 minutes by foot, or easily take public transportation to outskirt of the city. In additional to the great location, the rooms were good size and very clean, the daily breakfast offered at the hotel was great, there were good selections for breakfast and we were all satisfied with the food quality. The most important part was the hotel staff, they were all very friendly, not only they helped us to book the car service to airport, pointed us best way to get on hop-on-hop-off bus, they even arranged a breakfast-to-go box for my early departure since I had to check out the hotel by 4am. This was this first time we visited Prague, Michelangelo Grand Hotel has made me feel like home, I will definitely stay here if I visit Prague again!
