The Press Hotel, located on the corner of Exchange and Congress Streets in the Old Port District, features 110 thoughtfully appointed luxury guestrooms, including a Penthouse Suite with rooftop access and 360-degree views of the city; four private function rooms and is home to UNION, its 65-seat restaurant by Head Chef, Christian Bassett. Each guestroom has design inspired by a 1920s writer's office including a vintage-styled journalist desk, playful newsroom references throughout and floor to ceiling marble bathrooms. An iconic front-desk "letterpress art wall" welcomes guests to its front desk and to its Inkwell lobby bar featuring hand crafted cocktails. A well conceived and thoughtfully decorated hotel paying tribute to the history of the building it calls home: friendly and welcoming staff, nicely appointed rooms with an attention to quality, and a good location in downtown Portland. It would be nice if some sort of coffee and tea service was provided in the room, or at least a hot water kettle; also that the breakfast doesn’t start until 7:30 makes for less flexibility in the morning—though my meal was quite tasty and with expeditious service. I would happily stay here again.

Very comfortable stay with all the convenience right in the building from the top notch restaurant and bars. Everything about the stay at the Press Hotel was amazing. Will definitely come back for the luxurious comfortable stay with exceptional service.

I have stayed in other Autograph Collection hotels and this one is so fantastic. The location, the amenities, the space. I loved it! The bed is very comfortable and I loved the food at the hotel restaurant, Union.

Modern and upscale, very artistic decor. Very clean, great valet service. Beautiful bar with a fireplace area. Great to see some live music! Great restaurant. Pretty buildings just outside hotel and quaint shops a short walk. Great restaurants all around, pubs and coffee shops. Probably the best hotel in Portland.

We had an excellent stay. The staff in particular were so helpful and friendly. Our room was comfy and we loved hanging out in the bar/lounge to sit by the fire, have cocktails, play cards and read books. Thanks so much for a great long weekend!

Awesome hotel, wonderfully decorated and the bed was very comfy. The location is great. You have so many dining options, bars and coffee shops within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again

Such a great hotel! So beautiful and the staff were so friendly. Walkable to many shops, breweries and restaurants. We will be back!
