Wij verbleven 1 nacht in dit hotel. De auto konden wij naast het hotel parkeren. Wij kregen een kamer op de eerste verdieping. Er is geen lift, dus mocht je veel bagage hebben vraag om een kamer op de begane grond. De dame achter de receptie was ontzettend vriendelijk. Wij voelde ons enorm welkom door haar. De kamer was ruim, schoon en had een comfortabel bed. Wij hadden een kamer met uitzicht en bad. Het ontbijt was behoorlijk uitgebreid en netjes verzorgt. Wij hebben in de avond gebruik gemaakt van de jacuzzi. Deze kun je voor een half uur reserveren bij de receptie. Dit kost 10 euro incl. drankje. Aanrader rondom zonsondergang. Wij waren in begin september in dit dorp en er was niet zo veel te doen. We hebben genoten van de rust en prachtige omgeving.

This was one of our favorite stops on our 10 day trip through Portugal. From the moment you turn a corner in the approaching road and first see Marvao high up on the hilltop, the experience was magical. The town is compact, clean, and efficient. Dom Dinis has parking available onsite. The check-in was efficient. The room was clean and well outfitted with patio, claw-foot tub and a unbelievable view, a tremendous value for the price. On top of all that, the castle and gardens with panoramic views across the hills and valleys near the border with Spain was simply breathtaking. The breakfast was minimalistic, but adequate, hard boiled eggs, pastries, cold cuts, espresso, enough to get you going in the morning, not enough to write home about. I wish we had booked another day at this lovely hotel in this gorgeous village. Disliked · Unfortunately, the hot tub, which was one of the reasons I was attracted to the hotel, was out of order at the time of our stay. If it were working, one could sit in it with an awesome view.

Excellent hotel at the top of Marvão. Not super fancy, but beautiful and clean. The staff truly cares about making your stay perfect. We had a great room with a balcony and a beautiful view. The room was well appointed and spacious, bed was comfortable, and it was very clean. We used the jacuzzi which was lovely and we were able to order a couple of glasses of wine to enjoy on the deck. Very memorable and romantic place! Highly recommend.

A rustic classic bed and breakfast with a warm hot tub is a nice pavilion on the edge of a cliff. Really quite wonderful. Marvão, of course, is a special, magical place that is not to be missed. Highly recommend.

Nice and well-maintained hotel right next to the Marvão castle. It is a unique experience to visit Marvão's town and castle, and to stay at Dom Dinis.

Close to the castle. The rooms and furnishings are dated. We had a bathtub with a hand held wand not very convenient. They had a nice jacuzzi that you could hook and use which was nice. Not much open. Disappointing stop. One night would have been enough. We stayed 2

Great breakfast, nice oasis in a convenient, walkable, urban setting. Sunset from the rooftop lounge area was an unexpected extra.

Marvao was such a cute mountaintop village with a castle.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable.
I would suggest asking for a room away from the road since our room was right next to the road and the tire noise was loud on the cobblestones as cars and trucks pasted by. There was no noticeable traffic at night so the room was very quiet then. The staff are excellent. Breakfast was very good. We stayed for two nights and considered our stay as a quiet retreat from our busy Portugal trip. We had a lovely time here.

absolutely breathtaking views from the terrace and our room and close proximity to the castle. The room was very comfortable. A very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Marvao is not suitable for those with mobility issues.
