We really enjoyed our stay! The location is stunning and peaceful. The private terrace and the pool with a great sunset view were outstanding. Very warm hosts and the food was awesome! Thanks again for a memorable stay. Special thanks to Poyo for also being such a great host!

Absolutely beautiful property with attention paid to the details. A stay here feels like a luxurious escape from the world. You are immersed in a lush, bountiful area surrounded by nature. Wonderful pool with a perfect sunset view every night. Great breakfast every morning with friendly and attentive hosts who get to know you and your preferences over the course of your stay. We stayed in 3 different spots in Guadeloupe and this was by far the best. High-quality food, rooms, and shared spaces. Highly recommend!

We had an incredible stay at Habitation Cafeiere Samana Beausejour. Didier & Etienne have created a truly magical residence and would highly recommend it for anyone looking to explore Basse Terre. The residence has an authentic family atmosphere. Breakfast was a great start to day especially with the largest tea collection we have ever seen! Didier and Etienne were kind enough to speak English for us but helped us to practice our French where we could. We stayed in The Cottage which had great facilities and felt very private. The plunge pool was great for cooling off and we also used the well equipped outdoor kitchen to cook some fish we built at the local market. The ain infinity pool is spectacular and a great place to watch the sunset. The evening meals felt like meals with old friends and really made are stay feel special. Both Didier and Etienne are skill chefs and we would highly recommend eating at the residence on the nights that they are cooking. We loved their pets who were always pleased to see us. The roads around the island are challenging due to the mountainous terrain and the road up to the residence is no exception. Be sure to hire a powerful car as you may struggle to climb the driveway in a low horsepower compact car. So in summary we loved our stay and plan to return as soon as possible.

I think everything has already been said in the reviews, but I can only underline: This accommodation is simply exceptional! You can feel that Didier and Etienne put so much love into the details, be it the tastefully decorated rooms, the beautiful garden, their hospitality or environmental responsibility. By the way, we ate the best homemade cheesecake we've ever had here! :) We can only recommend the Samana and would come back anytime. Victoria & Joe

An idyllic peaceful eco-friendly resort with the most beautiful sunset in Guadeloupe. We went for Spring Break and loved the accommodations, such good night sleep on amazing beds, privacy in every room and delicious breakfast every morning. We especially loved the Table d’hôte dinners with the Hosts and their helpful guidance and suggestions for an amazing memorable trip!

We so enjoyed our visit. Not only are the grounds beautiful but Didier and Etienne were gracious hosts who attended to our every need—breakfast, dinner reservations in town, recommendations, a bucket for champagne—they really made the visit into a 5 star trip. They also are wonderful cooks with meals just as good or better than you can get in local restaurants. The grounds are beautiful and they have a wonderful eye. The location is secluded but also central to local villages, beaches and the national park. A wonderful base camp. We will return and recommend to all our friends.

We loved everything about this place. Relaxed friendly atmosphere. Étienne, and Didier were very accommodating. Having dinner with them, and other guests is highly recommended. Everyone was very tolerant of our lack of French. Go! You will not regret it!

We had a fabulous stay at L'Habitation Cafeiere in the Cottage. We stayed in "Le Cottage" which is apart from the other buildings providing great privacy. The property's setting is magnificent...the photos do not do it justice with incredible views of the ocean and mountains. Furthermore, the location in Pointe Noire is excellent for exploring Basse Terre - right in the middle of the western coast and also relatively convenient to making trips to Grande Terre. Didier and Etienne are excellent hosts - they have helpful lists of local recommendations. Their homecooked meals are also excellent and provide a great chance to chat with the hosts and other guests.
