L'hôtel est parfaitement situé juste en face de la gare de Régua, au bord du Douro. Chambre très spacieuse. Bel accueil. Bar bien agréable avec vue sur le fleuve.

We were offered a switch to a river view when we checked in and it was well worth it. We got a fabulous view across to the Sandeman's estate opposite and of the river either side. The room itself was very good, decent size, quiet and comfortable.
Service was superb apart from the long wait at times to get a drink at the bar. It was worth the wait for the very comfortable lounge which had a huge picture window overlooking the Douro.
Breakfast is very good, a well stacked buffet with a wide variety of items.
Only disappointment was the restaurant where we decided to eat one night only to find a pretty poor buffet set up for a large coach party staying that night. If we had known we would have eaten at one of the many alternatives outside.

Just a one night stay with my family. The river rooms are very nice and confortable, very clean, great view, good airconditioning and silent. We had buffet dinner, the food was very good. Not a huge buffet but the quality was good and the service also. The view form the Restaurant at sun set was great. Breakfast was also buffet, simple but good, the athmosphere was good, just relaxing viewing Douro.

Fui com o meu filho, amigos e restante família comemorar o seu 12° aniversário. Resolvi reservar mesa no restaurante do Hotel Douro Régua. Em primeiro lugar esperamos mais de 1 hora até sermos servidos. O que pedimos não correspondia à carta, por exemplo: Eu pedi bacalhau com broa acompanhado com puré de grão e o que me foi trazido foi um bacalhau com broa acompanhado de batata muro e brócolos. O menu das crianças era um bife com batatas queimadas (ainda tiveram lata de dizer que a culpa era da qualidade das batatas!), sem salada (e paguei 16,5€ por cada bife pequeno com as batatas queimadas). A pouca salada que veio num dos pratos, a alface estava colada ao prato, não saia de lá. Ou seja, foi tudo mal confeccionado, sem corresponder ao que foi escolhido e empregado desajeitado. E caríssimo para o mau serviço prestado. Não recomendo. Não voltarei lá mais.

Serviço muito aquém do esperado,o restaurante snak bar deste hotel não tem a mínima simpatia para com os clientes chego mesmo a pensar que somos apenas parasitas que vamos lá incomodar.As pessoas que aqui trabalham devem estar muito insatisfeitas com o salário que auferem só assim se justifica o tratamento dado as pessoas que como eu vão lá levar o seu dinheiro para comer. Lamentável pois o sítio é bonito e merecia outro tipo de pessoas no atendimento.
